Dainese Anfibio Cafe Boots Call them a cafe boot, call them a combat boot, call them classic, vintage or retro, but make no mistake, the Dainese Cafe Boots are anything but. These fully moto inspired boots may have all the hallmarks of a pair of boots picked out of the back room of an Army Navy store, but have been designed to incorporate reinforcements that will safe your feet in a crash. Nylon ankle discs and polyurethane inserts in the heels and toes reinforce the boot's structure to a level you just won't get out of those Redwings. Protection: Nylon ankle guard Polyurethane inserts on heel and toebox Ergonomics and Comfort: Cowhide upper Split leather inserts with rubber finishing Closing with laces Temperature adjustment Double jersey airgap liner Other: Non-slip rubber sole Gear shift guard

Ordered them in brown. These boots looked great in the video and pictures. Underwhelmed when I received them. As another reviewer commented, the color was much lighter than depicted. But not only was the color much lighter, it was uneven and had a "washed out" or "bleached" look to it, almost like there was a wax residue over it that can't be rubbed off. The sole of the boot is a VERY soft and spongy rubber and I expect it would wear extremely quickly if walked in (these boots are not able to resoled). The leather was no better (thicker/sturdier) than a traditional full leather jungle boot from standard retailers like Altima. I don't think the minor safety upgrades (ankle caps and toe box) justify the price over a normal jungle boot. I can't comment on fit or comfort, as I was so disappointed when I opened the box, I just boxed them back up and shipped them back. I have bought several products from RevZilla with no issues, and they remain great company to do business with. Dainese failed on these. What would have made this better? 1. A color that was more in tune with what was depicted. 2. A more durable sole (or at least a replaceable sole). 3. Better leather. 4. Better price point.

Finally had a chance to test these in the rain. A good steady rain. 60 degrees Fahrenheit. 15 minutes of stop and go surface streets and 30 minutes of interstate (65mph) on a naked klx250s. Feet were perfectly dry and stayed warm. The shoes are very comfortable to walk in if you skip the very top lace hole. Sole grips well but doesn't seem like it will wear quickly like some other boots with overly soft soles. Stylish, looks like a normal sneaker.

Purchased the smoke anti-fog. Works well during bright full sun days. I had concerns about getting caught at night without a clear shield so I took it for a spin. Does perfectly fine at night. Night-time visibility is obviously reduced compared to a clear shield, but not so much that you can't ride safely with it on at night.
