I bought this jacket for riding in cold and rainy weather. I have ridden on the highway down to 27 degrees and it kept me comfortable with only a short sleeve shirt underneath. This coat starts getting too warm above 50 degrees. I have not yet worn this coat in any kind of rain yet so I cannot comment on that.
The only gripe I have with this coat is the velcro collar. I wish that it was a button, or that the velcro was flipped. The hook side of the velcro is on the right shoulder catches on the bottom of my helmet and starts chewing it up as I ride if the collar is velcro'ed open on the left side.
This jacket is a tight fit. I can only fit one layer of clothing underneath. I dont see being able to wear this jacket much colder than 25 - 20 degrees F.

I have not tested this glove in rain, but I have worn it at 29 degrees F on the highway. These gloves are very warm and not very thick so they do not impede on controller my bike. Below about 35 degrees I do need to wear a glove liner with them or my finger tips get cold.
The only thing about these gloves that I do not like is the HUGE cuffs. They balloon out around the sleeves of all of my jackets. I dont own a jacket thick enough to fill in the cuffs. Even my tourmaster epic jacket which is too hot to wear above 50F does come close. The rain cover in the cuff is not the cause of this, the cuffs are just cut big. It is a minor issue for me because otherwise these gloves are phenomenal. I will post another review when I finally get to wear them in a downpour.

How does the weight of the three jackets, Señora, Epic and transition 3, compare?

I dont know about the senora, but the epic is a very very heavy jacket, In my size It weighs almost 10lbs. The weight is a good thing since the epic a cold wet weather jacket.
I dont know about the transition 3, but based on its construction, I would assume that it is similar in weight to the epic.

Please recommend a 3 season textile system for a LARGE FRAME MALE 5'11" 58" chest 285#

I love your video's and breath of selections but its always late when I am searching the web and I am close to making a decision - I want to ride most of the year, primarily in Northern CA and OR, ID - I continue to loose weight but my chest and shoulders are what they are. Something with protective system, multiple layers, rain proof and breathable. as a rule I will not ride long distance in the rain unless I can not find a motel. But I do enjoy touring,
YOu could try the tourmaster air intake 2 or air intake 3. I am 6' 3" 240. that jacket is a pretty large fit as far as motorcycle jackets go. I can layer up with 2 sweatshirts underneath for real cold weather. I have worn my air intake 2 from 90s all the way down to the 20s, sunny and rainy weather.

This jacket will not provide too much abrasion protection in a crash or a low-side, but it will keep the elements off you very well.
