Shoei Qwest Passage Helmet The Shoei Qwest Helmet was built with a focus on minimizing helmet weight, decreasing noise and optimizing fit, comfort and protection to bring a new level of comfort to touring helmets. Featuring a slightly round oval internal shape, the Qwest helmet is manufactured with 4 individual shell sizes to keep the helmet as low-profile as possible. The smaller the helmet shell, the lighter the helmet weight. The Shoei Qwest Helmet also uses the Shoei's CW-1 visor technology with the Q.R.S.A system. This system guarantees a tight seal at the face shield by pulling the shield back to contact the opening seal evenly. The Qwest also touts an extra-wide viewport for additional peripheral vision so you can more easily take in the world around you. Snell M2010 and DOT ratings means the Qwest is no compromise when it comes to safety. Aerodynamic Shell Design Aerodynamic properties are maximized through extensive wind tunnel and feedback from professional riders Dual-Layer EPS liner enhances impact absorption and ventilation Four shell and six EPS liner sizes increase fit options that help to comfortably fit most head sizes Molded air spoiler reduces drag and lift as well as diminishes weight pressure on the neck while riding at high speeds Ventilation System Upper Air Intake Vent is positioned to maximize air volume into the helmet interior Large upper intake vent positioned to maximize performance in high wind conditions Easy to operate large lower intake vent Lower air intake/defroster vent reduces shield fogging and increases ventilation Rear/neck outlets allow for effective air exhaust Breath guard and chin curtain are included Lightweight Advanced Integrated Matrix Plus (AIM+) High performance fiber materials are combined with extremely elastic organic fibers to create a shell structure that is ultra lightweight, rigid and resilient Interior 3D center pad and multi-layered, polyurethane foam cheek pads Cheek pads are replaceable or removable for maintenance Eyeglass-compatible interior Standard chin strap clip neatly secures chin strap CW-1 Shield and Q.R.S.A. System Q.R.S.A. (Quick-Release Self-Adjusting) base plate allows for tool-less shield removal and installation Spring-loaded base plate pulls the shield back to contact the window beading evenly and ensures a proper seal Scratch-resistant coating 99.9 protection from harmful UV A and B rays Optional, CWF-1 two-dimensional Pinlock equipped racing shields with tear-off posts are available (sold separately) Optional, CW-1 Pinlock prepared shields are available to accommodate Pinlock Fog Free Inserts (sold separately) The CW-1, three-dimensionally curved shield is both wider and taller than the CX-1V it replaces A pre-set lever can easily lock the shield in place to prevent the shield from opening unexpectedly, as well as prop the shield open to increase airflow Additional Features Construction AIM+ (Advanced Integrated Matrix Plus Multi Fiber) Weight 3.644 lbs / 1,653 grams (approx, for Size Medium) Standards Snell-M2010, DOT Please Note The vents on the Brilliant Yellow helmet are black, not yellow as shown in product photo. Note Due to manufacturer restrictions, the Qwest Helmet and other Shoei products can only be shipped to addresses within the United States

I always curious what's the different between bands of helmets. Found a long crack on my RPS-10 jaw foam (I didn't go down or dropped the helmet), I decided to take everything apart because this helmet is a gone anyway. I pulled out the jaw foam, saw electrical tapes everywhere, and blocks most of of the vents. That explained there was so minimum airflow when riding. I decided to shop for better brand and looked into Shoei and Arai. Qwest is my option because it's slightly round and fit my head better than RF-1200. Two speakers pockets is a good feature, because I have a Sena's clone waiting to be installed. Wiring the headset couldn't hide all the wires due to the head pad was not a removable. I didn't care, it's inside the helmet, who could see that anyway. Today is my first ride, airflow, the view, the natural anti-fog system, the comfort of feeling the speakers not squeezing my head, all just play so well and rock solid. I thought my RPS-10 was top, the Qwest is. Not to mention the Hi-Vis color perfectly match my Hi-Vis jacket. Revzilla's staff was awesome, quickly price matched my helmet. Not to mention, Anthony's video did a good job in all the breakdown videos. Good to do business with you, Revzilla.

I'm really happy with this helmet. I had Scorpion EXO-1000, Joe Rocket RKT, Bilt Explorer, Shoei RF-1000 and so far this helmet beats all of them. It is extremely light weight and quiet. I installed BT receive to listen to music w/o any problem with comfort and noise. I will have to say it's a well made helmet. I threw the liners into the washers a few times and they are still intact, but I wash the liner by hands now, it's cleaner that way. I put a sun glass on once and it's tight. Recommend getting a smoke visor instead. The fog shield is truly awesome. All other helmets got fogged up in cold days, except this one. I wear this helmet everyday and weekend rides up to 6 hrs w/o any discomfort. The only upgrade I think HJC should do is installing the quick release instead of using double D-rings. That would attract more people who love lots of features from the helmet. If you haven't bought one, get it, you won't regret. It fit just like Anthony said in the video. Enjoy.

First ride in 34F, I had a long sleeve shirt beneath and felt like cool breezed day. Very comfortable and packed with so many pockets. Hi-vis is excellent and the neck collar did stop the wind from getting in.
I ride VStrom with stock shield and Madstad adjuster.

After thoroughly inspecting, I can conclude this helmet is 99.9% the same as the Bilt Explorer Adventure Helmet at www.cyclegear.com because I own the Bilt helmet. Good thing this about this helmet is the weight. It's so light and I like it. However, after 2 hours riding, I had a bad head ache: from the buffering at high speed (65-70 mph) and it's snugness. Probably I have a slight-round head shape that caused the head ache. Material are well made, exactly as the video shown on this page.

This controller is gives me better heat when using with my Powerlet heated glove liners. Comparing to Powerlet digital power controller, level 3 is like H2.5. Level 4 is perfect for riding in low 30F.
The problem I have is finding a place to clip it. It's designed for belt clip, but the leather jacket went over the waistline so clipping at waistline is not possible.
