For the last few years I've worn a similar jacket from another manufacturer and kept a mental list of features that could be improved. The Kilimanjaro satisfies the whole list, and it's reasonably priced. It doffs, dons, and fastens easily, and it seals well. I especially like the underhelmet hood and the adjustable collar snap.
I also get regular compliments on its looks from both acquaintances and strangers.
The standard impact pads at shoulder/elbow/back do not include hard shells. This makes the jacket significantly lighter and more comfortable, and I'm OK with the level of protection. Some people will want to buy the optional hard-shell pads.
