Icon Field Armor Stryker Knee Guard Road rash on your knees or gouged shins will ruin your month. Icon knows these lessons well. If you chose to hit the streets in anything less then full leather pants you need knee armor. That's a damn fact. The Field Armor Stryker knee armor is equipped with d3o intelligent foam and feature full CE approval. The low-profile rider developed chassis fits easily under almost any pant with easy adjustment Velcro strapping to keep them in place. Wear them and stand a fighting chance of skipping that painful trip to the hospital, so you can begin the equally painful search for new clipon and rearset on ebay. I do a lot of short-distance local riding, where I want to be able to function at the other end without having to slosh around in riding pants or spend forever undressing and storing gear. I wear a pair of kevlar jeans most of the time, and when I want to head out, these slip on underneath or on top without a lot of fuss. If I stop somewhere, I can walk around for a while without these feeling terribly uncomfortable. They're noticeable, but not bad to walk in, and if I'm staying anywhere for long, they're easy to pop off and stick in a bag.
As a new and fairly casual rider, I gravitate towards cheap gear, so the build quality on these really impressed me. They fit well and feel incredibly sturdy and protective. I expect they will be where they need to be and protect my knees/shins if something bad happens. Now looking into other armor in this line...

Yes. In fact, they are asymmetrical. One is labeled for your right leg and the other for your left. You get both sides in one order.
