Heidenau K60 Scout Rear Tire A true 50/50 dual sport tire, the Heidenau K60 Scout brings a proven balance of performance on- and off-road. With an improved tread and compound, the Heidenau K60 Scout dual sport tires deliver better cornering stability and wet weather grip on the pavement, while delivering off-road as well. The chevron style tread pattern is similar to full knobby designs which provides lots of open space between the tread blocks to route sand, mud and water from the contact patch while constantly keeping some rubber in contact with the road as the tire rotates. This tire is a stand-out as it does not sacrifice on-road longevity and adhesion to the pavement for off-road traction. A difficult feat for any tire to accomplish. TL Tubeless TT Tube Type Tire Please Note The K60 Scout tread pattern will vary depending on tire size.

Now to start out, this tire performs very good on the road and has quite good grip on the pavement despite it being a 50/50 tire. This being said, the initial turn in is quite smooth and predictable and feels confidence inspiring up until the point that you reach the limit of the tire's grip. Once warmed up that can be quite far but there is very little feel in the limits of the tire and it gives very little warning before it breaks loose, when it does break loose it will do so very quickly. This is just a word of warning for anyone wanting to test the limits of what the tire can do.
That being said the tire performs well in the wet, dry, and on the dirt. If I warned you to air the tire down when off road to increase grip, and you did not already know that, then you most likely should keep to the street.
Tread life is a little longer than would be expected on a dual sport tire reaching around 6500 miles on a WR250R with a spirited rider behind that handlebars. Fully loading on a recent trip I only got around 3500 miles out of my second rear. Front has been on I would say around 5000 miles and barely looks broken in.

Over all I very much like this jacket. Icon almost hit the nail right on the head besides just a few small overlooks. These I would not normally worry about but at this price point I feel that these couple things should have not been over looked.
#1- Yes the jacket is waterproof and I do not get wet at all underneath but Icon did not put any DWR on it from the factory and the outer layer will wet out very fast. Although this has not led to me getting wet it does almost eliminate any breathings of the fabric. I will just have to treat it myself.
#2- The liner has too much material at the neck and when you zip up the collar it will bunch up in the front and can get uncomfortable. This I can also fix on the sewing machine.
Despite these 2 problems all the rest of the features are spectacular. I like the high collar (almost too high) I have what I would consider an average length neck and I am right at the limit for the collar length. If my neck was on the short side the collar would most likely become very uncomfortable after a long ride.
Like a few other reviewers have said the jacket is a little on the tight side in the armpits but it is not to the point of being uncomfortable. I still have full range of motion and the jacket is very comfortable. I am 5'10", 175 lbs, 40" chest and a 32" sleeve length. The jacket fits just a hair on the small side.
The jacket is very waterproof. I am up here in WA state and I ride all year round and commute an hour each way 4 days a week and have hit some very heavy rains and have yet to get wet underneath.
Overall it is an extremely well made and well thought out jacket from Icon's first entry into the adventure world. I highly recommend this jacket to anyone looking for a ride in all conditions jacket
