Over all I very much like this jacket. Icon almost hit the nail right on the head besides just a few small overlooks. These I would not normally worry about but at this price point I feel that these couple things should have not been over looked.
#1- Yes the jacket is waterproof and I do not get wet at all underneath but Icon did not put any DWR on it from the factory and the outer layer will wet out very fast. Although this has not led to me getting wet it does almost eliminate any breathings of the fabric. I will just have to treat it myself.
#2- The liner has too much material at the neck and when you zip up the collar it will bunch up in the front and can get uncomfortable. This I can also fix on the sewing machine.
Despite these 2 problems all the rest of the features are spectacular. I like the high collar (almost too high) I have what I would consider an average length neck and I am right at the limit for the collar length. If my neck was on the short side the collar would most likely become very uncomfortable after a long ride.
Like a few other reviewers have said the jacket is a little on the tight side in the armpits but it is not to the point of being uncomfortable. I still have full range of motion and the jacket is very comfortable. I am 5'10", 175 lbs, 40" chest and a 32" sleeve length. The jacket fits just a hair on the small side.
The jacket is very waterproof. I am up here in WA state and I ride all year round and commute an hour each way 4 days a week and have hit some very heavy rains and have yet to get wet underneath.
Overall it is an extremely well made and well thought out jacket from Icon's first entry into the adventure world. I highly recommend this jacket to anyone looking for a ride in all conditions jacket
