REV'IT! Sand Pants The SAND Pants offer 4-season, year round comfort and protection from both pavement and the elements. The SAND Pants offer a double PWR/shell seat and PWR/wax coating on the inside of the legs, for a better grip on the bike. The legs are also versatile thin enough to wear inside the boot, but wide enough to wear over it. Watercatchers prevent water from creeping up into the leg, and a detachable thermal lining and removable 3-layer membrane round out the total comfort of the SAND trousers. The Sand Pants will zip with any current model men's REV'IT Jacket PROTECTION FEATURES Outer shell PWRshell 500D, PWRshell 750D, PWRwax 1200D Insulation detachable thermal liner Waterproofing detachable hydratex 3L (5000mm H2O) Breathability detachable hydratex 3L (7000g/m2/24hrs) Composition outer shell 100 polyamide lining 100 polyester thermal liner 100 polyamide (insulation 100 polyester) membrane 100 polyurethane (tricot 100 polyamide) Protection Prolife CE protection at knees, fully perforated EVA foam at hips, double textile seat Visibility laminated reflection at upper legs ERGONOMIC FEATURES Fit tour fit, regular Adjustability adjustment straps at waist, adjustment tab at ankles Ventilation VCS I zippers at upper legs Features stretch lips at back and knees, short and long connection zipper, adjustable protector pockets, calf zippers Pockets stash pockets, slit pockets

Tried several different layered pant systems, and for me the Rev'it Sand was the best combination of value and full-season riding ability. I combined the black colored pants with the Cayenne Pro jacket in XL for my adventure/ dual sport rig. I am 6'/ 195 with an athletic build, and the XL fits a little tight at the thighs with the thermal liner, but with the shell and waterproof membrane only I can comfortably wear jeans underneath, which is a big bonus for early and late season riding. I tried both the 2XL and the XL-Tall since I like a little longer pant for rain protection, but the former was too baggy, and the latter put my knee pads too low even after adjustment. With the thermal liner the XL pants come up or just over my ankles on the bike, but with the shell and waterproof membrane they give good coverage, and in both cases the knee pad settles into it's proper place without any adjustment. Only caveat is that I wish they put the ceramic abrasion resistant strips on the Sand pants similar to the Cayenne Pro, and I wish it came with Sas-Tec armor at the knees instead of ProLife. With all of that said I am very happy with my purchase.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Probably the best non-GoreTex adventure system out there. Lots of different configurations. I am 6' 00"/ 190 lbs and with a SasTec back protector this jacket fits me perfectly both with the thermal liner, and with no liners at all. The cinch straps at the waist and arms make it convenient for adjusting the fit for each layer, and details like the waterproof spray skirt and internal draw strings are great for keeping the rain out of the shell. Highly recommend.

I just purchased the Cayenne pro jacket and was wondering which pants in the Rev'it line are compatible?

i've had an issue in the past with mixing and matching Rev'it styles of pants and jackets. I'm not looking for as technical a pant as the cayenne pro jacket but it's more important the zippers are compatible with the other styles, otherwise i guess it's the cayenne pro pants for me.
I bought the Sand Pants with my New Cayenne Pro Jacket (XL) and they zip in just fine.

Does the Rev'it Sand Jacket accept a back protector without modification?

I have the Cayenne Pro Jacket in XL, and have tried on the L and XL the Sand 1 jacket in-store (XL fits me best). Both CP and Sand 1 have pockets for the Sas-Tec back protector in the recommended size for your jacket model. The CP and Sand come with temperfoam, I believe, which is not very protective... Remember that the Sas-Tec Back Protector mounts on the inside of the shell, so if you like room in between your shoulders you should account for the additional 1-2 inches of room around the chest when wearing it with the various Jacket layers--for example, will be perfectly snug ( race fit) with the Sas-Tec and all layers in my XL Cayenne Pro, and I am about a 42R in sportcoats.

How long are the arms on an XL Cayenne Pro Jacket?

I have a 43/44" chest but I'm only 5'5" tall. I'm worried the arms will be to long and the elbow/forearm protection won't fall where it should.
Arms are fairly long on the XL. I am 6' "00 and a 43 chest and with the thermal liner there is still a bit of room across the chest. Sleeves fall to my normal suit cuff length or just below, so at 5'5" I would suggest a Large or XL short if available. I can get into in Rev'it's L jacket size, but I noticed that it was tight across the shoulders with the thermal liner in place (and foam-only in the Back protector slot). Arms were at the wrist, so better fit for you there. Some like that snug fit for armor placement, but I found the cut a bit too narrow at the shoulders for my taste. Without the Thermal liner and with the SasTec back protector it would probably have a nice "race" fit.
