These pads are sturdy, small enough to fit under riding jeans or even a pair of work khakis, and stay in place quite well.
There's probably better pads out there, especially in the airflow department (though the extra insulation isn't too bad on chilly October mornings), but for the value these can't be beat.
Good padding, stout plastic, and they fit well enough under a pair of jeans that my friends don't ask me why my knees are horrifically swollen.
Alpinestars SP-2 Leather Gloves - 2012 Features Palm and finger constructed from Goat skin leather for superior durability Knuckle area and finger forchettes made from bovine leather for enhanced comfort and feel Patented 3rd/4th finger bridge prevents finger roll and separation during impacts Perforated cuff, leather top panel and ventilated finger sidewalls keep the hands cool Pre-curved finger construction to reduce riding fatigue
I've been riding with these for a couple weeks now, and love them. They're not the most well-vented gloves, but flow enough air to keep you cool as long as traffic's moving along. The protection is great - lots of carbon fiber atop good foam padding.
All in all, a great glove, with enough color options to match most riding gear.
