Even during the test ride I knew that if I bought the '12 R1200GSA I was riding, the stock seat had to go. I left the dealership with the bike that day and immediately started researching which seat to buy. With a shortish inseam, I wanted a low version. It is important to know that just because a manufacturer makes a great standard seat, the low version they produce might miss the mark for most people. Other manufacturers will make a seat and then never back there product in the event of an issue. Having switched over from HD to BMW I had never really looked over Sargent but everything I read about their product were mostly positive. What I did find was a distinct lack of complaints about the company, only that some people weren't totally satisfied with the seat. Well you can't please everyone all of the time, but a company that gets such good compliments is hard to find so I took the leap. When I first opened the box, I was impressed by the fit and finish of the seat and the nice extras, like the stowage bin under the passenger pillion. The seat did take a bit of maneuvering to install the first time but once you do it a couple times it becomes second nature. I immediately noticed how much better the shape was than the stock seat. Firm but not overly so and the shape allows the rider to put their feet down without feeling like their femurs are being spread from their pelvic sockets! I experimented with the different heights, and yes, if you adjust the low version up to high setting (equal to a normal seat) you'll have a 3/4" gap at the tank. It isn't bad looking that way and just noticeable IMO. With the shape of the tank and frame, it is impossible to have an adjustable seat and not have a gap. Comfort-wise that seat hits its stride after about 500 miles. Your butt will need to do some acclimating as well, so ride ride long and ride often and you come to love the seat as I do. I have one criticism though: the seat is a bit more slick than I prefer. Sargent offers an upgraded version with a new, less slippery material I will probably spring for and have the seat recovered in a few couple years.
Keep the rubber side down, my friends.

When I tried this helmet on at the shop, I immediately noticed how much more quiet it is than others I was trying out. I skipped Shoei since there helmets don't fit my head very well and Arai, while nicely made and a decent fit, were a bit heavier. Even the high end models, nearly as expensive as the S2, were noticeably heavier. The S2 shell in XL is somewhat larger than the Arai in the same size which probably allows for the extra sound dampening. The padding is soft and comfy with no seams or pressure points to cause discomfort. Out on the road, the helmet flows air well and is stable, even when you get out from behind the windscreen protection. If you look sideways, there wasn't any noticeable increase in buffeting. The sound dampening was still good but flow noise at 75+ gets pretty loud, as much as any other helmet I have owned. I order a new bluetooth setup up for it and have to wait and see how well the unit integrates with the helmet.
Yes, I recommend this product.
