Leatt Dual Axis Knee Guards The Leatt Dual Axis knee and leg guards are comfortable, well-ventilated protectors with two pivot points that allows them to more accurately bend with the human knees natural movements. They cover the knee, even when fully bent, as well as the lower thigh and most of the lower legs. Great levels of impact protection are proven by the CE impact safety standard they are certified to. They are also certified to CEs abrasion resistance safety standard. Strap buckles are low profile with no edges to hang up on your riding pants. Straps are also backed by soft, comfortable, vented airprene material that resists slipping. Lighter weight, most comfortable and offers more freedom of movement than almost any other CE certified protection system. I like these a lot. When I wear them I don't think about them much... that is ideal. The only thing is occasionally I will pull them back up a bit if I have been walking around. When on the bike this doesn't come up.
I have chicken like legs and am 5'8". The large set seems to fit just fine. I really, really like the quick connect strap ends that don't have to be readjusted and don't require loosening and reapplying Velcro each time they are used.
Took a pretty good stick to the shin yesterday and I hardly felt anything... mostly just noise.
I didn't rate durability as I have only ridden in these a few times so far. I didn't rate airflow either as I can't tell wearing these over jeans. But the vents do catch a lot of weeds.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Very nice gloves, but like my Held Freezer gloves, the thumbs are disproportionally long. I don't have weird hands or anything, most other gloves fit fine and I have never had a problem with any kind of gloves having long thumbs. Held evidently just has a long thumbed hand model.
In spite of this I think I will keep them and shorten the thumbs myself. The rest of the glove I like alot, and I just can't bring myself to buy a Chicom glove.
Even though I like the glove a lot except for the long thumbs, I can't recommend them for this reason. The thumbs also made me give some lower scores on overall rating and bang for the buck.
No, I do not recommend this product.
