Cruztools BMW Kit BMW motorcycles are legendary for innovation, and their choice of fasteners are no exception. Female Torx fasteners are commonplace, and some models even use rare male Torx screws. Add special wrench and hex key needs, and it becomes clear that a unique tool kit is called for. Weve exceeded these needs with the new RoadTech B1 for BMWs, which packs top grade tools and other roadside items into a sturdy roll-up pouch. Comprehensive tool kit designed specifically for BMW motorcycles. Applicable to all current and most older models Includes male and female Torx wrenches, special front axle hex adapter, mini ratchet and socket set, combination wrenches, hex keys, locking pliers, adjustable wrench, 6-in-1 screwdriver, LED flashlight, tire pressure gauge, and more. All tools are mechanic-grade with a lifetime guaranteed Weight 3.5 lbs. Countries of Origin USA, Taiwan, China

I guess BMW is now conceding that everyone brings their bikes to a dealer and no longer includes a comprehensive tool kit with their bikes anymore. Got this for my new 12 RT which only came with a screwdriver and a few torx wrenches. This one has as all the basics plus a few "above and beyond" items like the tire gauge, electrical tape and the ratchet handle. I likely won't need it (never did the stock ones much for my older BMW's), but the "insurance" factor is worth the $ to me.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I am looking for an anniversary gift idea for my husband who has an R1200 RT. I saw this tool kit. Does it work with any model BMW bike?

I bought this specifically for my R1200RT, so yes, it is specific to the new BMWs with the hex front wheel and all the torx heads they have now. Older BMWs usually include a good stock tool kit. The only minor niggle is it takes some finagling to get it under the seat (I always want the tool kit on no matter which bags are on)
