I love these pants! I ride a Harley and wanted some leather pants as opposed to chaps. I love how these pants fit. I love the fact that you can take out the knee pads, hip pads and inner lining. I felt that the pants were very hard to get into with the inner lining but fit perfectly when I unzipped it. I didn't want the knee pads in there so I took them out. They easily slide out from a velcro'd pocket. I also removed the hip pads as they added too much dimension to my hips. The back of the pants come up just a bit so people don't see your butt crack when you are riding which is definitely a plus. They look great with my harley jacket and I have had lots of compliments. I love them! They are very thick and durable. They are great at keeping the wind out and I feel confident that they are going to protect my skin if I wipe out. I would definitely recommend these pants. They rock!

How long are the leg zippers?
Do they go all the way up past the knee in the pants?
The zippers only go up about 2/3 of the way up to the knees. That gives you ample space to put on your boots. The zipper is very heavy duty and you don't have to worry about it breaking. They are super easy to get into if you follow the sizing guidelines. I would be about a size 9/10 in a women's pant so I bought the size 42 and they fit great.

Armor and detachable thermal
So, can I remove the thermal layer, and still have armor, or does that come out with thermal? Ideally I would like to have outer waterproof shell and armor during summer months, and everything in colder times. Any other pant that does this if not?
I bought these pants in the women's style and the thermal layer easily zips out. The armour can be easily removed just by sliding it out. There are pockets in the hips and knees where the pads are kept that close with velcro. I am not sure of other pants that do this. There are tabs at the waist to adjust as the pants will fit looser if you zip out the thermal layer - looser but not baggy.

Size chart is inconsistent with actual sizes
This pant is sold in S/M/L/XL/2XL/ etc., but the RevIt size chart is listed in 48/50/52/54/etc. - how do these correlate? Specifically I'm interested in the tall sizes, I have a 32" waist and 34" inseam.
I have a 32 inch waist and a 31 inch inseam and I ordered size 42 and find that it has plenty of length for myself. I think you would be safe with the longer length as the pants I received go down to the bottom of my boots when I am standing up and according to the chart it has a 29 inch inseam. I don't think they would look like floods on you.
