Shortly after I received these gloves a motorist decided to ignore my turn signal, and zoom past me while I was making a left turn. My bike collided with her car and these gloves took a decent impact from the collision.
The cow hide at the knuckles was damaged a little by the impact, and I slid a little on the rey skin. Nothing made it through the glove, and the impact didn't feel significant.
While maybe not as breathable as I would love, these gloves are exception for protection and water resistance. The GoreTex really helps the hand not to feel sweaty.
I would recommend these to anyone.

So I was making a left turn and this lady came trying to force her way around me from behind. You can guess what happened next. I hit her door during the turn, and went down. The Evoline hit the pavement, and kept me from injury, but in the impact the face shield popped off, and the helmet popped open turning from a full face to the 3/4 face format. Don't get this if you expect even partially close to full face protection. It ain't going to happen.
For what it is worth, the impact didn't hurt, and my head and neck are still intact, but I hate to think what could have happened at a different angle, or with a faster rate of travel.
Get this if you want a 3/4 face that cuts wind down on command, not for the protection of a full face helmet. The chin bar is a glorified wind break.

How well does the helmet seal against wind and noise when in the full face position

with the visor sealing on a retractable chin bar, does the visor make a good air tight seal?
In my experience, yes. I got no wind through the visor without intentionally tilting it.

I bought two Shark 2 helmets

The problem I have is that the sun lens has deep scratches this has happened with both. Do to opening and closing
What can be done to correct this
If you tried to use the button you press to open when you closed the chin bar, this could have been part of the problem. It tells you specifically not to because that will cause it to dig into the shell.

Simply pull with your left hand (per the instructions)
