AGV Horizon Helmet - Solid Colors The design of the AGV Horizon largely reflects that of the Stealth SV, which it replaces in the line. Inspired by the lines that have characterized the innovations by AGV for several years now, it features a narrow, streamlined chin guard, the channels in the shell (derived from the IVS used in the RACE helmets), evident lines and edges on the sides. The spoiler adds an aggressive and dynamic touch to the design and improves the ventilation, aerodynamics and stability of the helmet. The removal of the holes and lateral grids not only gives the helmet a more compact look, but has made it possible to reduce turbulence and improve the aerodynamics. Features Shell Carbonglass (Fiberglass and carbon shell) Shell Sizes 2 EPS Liner Multi-density Ventilation System IVS (Integrated Ventilation System) with channels formed directly in the outer shell and dynamic system with air vents and rear extractors Interior Dry-Lex with sanitizing treatment Internal Padding Completely removable and washable Removable chin curtain and breath deflector included Faceshield GT2 clear visor in optical class 1 Faceshield Non-scratch and anti-fog polycarbonate with 100 protection from UV radiation Visor Mechanism XQRS (Extra Quick Release System) visor removal and replacement without tools in just a few seconds Internal Sunshield Drop down ISV (Internal Sun Visor) is non-scratch and anti-fog polycarbonate Retention System Double D Safety Certification DOT and ECE 22.05

The main reason I bought this helmet was for the integrated Bluetooth set. Don't buy for that reason, the AGVoice Bluetooth is garbage (everything about that is bad, but the worst thing is that it doesn't stream music, just calls) I returned it & got the Sena SMH10-11 which works great minus poor low Hz response... but this review is about the helmet, not the Bluetooth.
The placement of the speaker cutouts are behind my ears & I had to modify the cheek pads to allow me to place the speakers in the proper location which still interfere with the top of the neck strap a little.
Internal Sun Visor is great, It goes down low enough to get the sun at any time of day, but it could go down a bit lower to catch lower reflections as well as provide a bit more protection from debris when riding with the wind visor open for air flow. I also wish they would make a polarized visor instead of just iridium (the included is just plain smoke). I still find myself using sunglasses a lot, I prefer Condor V Safety glasses because they are very slim to fit in any helmet & they are only a buck a piece, so when the sun goes down & I don't have my backpack, I can just leave them on a table for someone else.
Wind visor comes with a couple of different attachments for setting the pivot click to suit your needs which is cool, except that none of them keep it cracked as little as I want to be able to keep it on cold days when it fogs up, and at 80 mph none of them will hold the visor from snapping shut. Also, no matter how much I adjust the placement of the pivots, I can not get a whistle to go away where there is a short gap in the gasket, as a last resort I am going to get some silicone & beef up the gasket. It won't look as pretty, but hopefully It'll finally get a tight seal.
The top liner can catch on your head when you're putting it on causing you to have to give it a little shake to sit right on your head, which causes a problem with keeping my hair brushed back while putting it on, not a problem if you have short hair.
When I go to rub my itchy nose, I tend to disconnect the breath deflector & have to clip it back in place, but the other day I could not get it back in place and had to pull it off all the way and unzip my pocket to stow it until I reached my destination.
The last gripe I have is about the strap. The snap at the end of the strap doesn't snap back on the strap itself like most helmets, it has a separate sewn on tab that you snap it to. It snaps on easy enough bare handed, but it takes a lot of practice & some gloves that allow for good finger sensitivity & dexterity to hold the flap in place while snapping it with your gloves on. Until you get used to it, you will be getting frustrated & having to take off your gloves to put your helmet on.
Besides those points, I love the helmet. It is sleek & stylish, it is very light & aerodynamic, has good airflow, and its comfortable without too much wind noise for a helmet of it's weight.
However, I don't know if I am going to get another AGV for my next helmet. Might break down and spend twice as much on a helmet that I wont be looking for a good excuse to replace. Kind of funny, when I started writing this review, I planned it to be positive, but I have talked MYSELF out of this helmet while writing it. Its amazing what you will put up with when you're trying to like a piece of gear.
Yes, I recommend this product.
