I don't know why you would pay more for a jacket. The construction looks bomb-proof, plenty of features including zippered vents, waist strap, armor, built-in back support if you care to use it, zip-out liner, and cinch straps to secure armor in place.
As to fit. I am 5'9", 42" chest and usually wear a medium. This jacket runs large for my frame with the small being a perfect fit. I have a pencil neck at 15" and this is the only riding jacket I have with enough adjustment to seal well. Sleeve length is good for a semi-crouch (Ducati Monster) riding position.
Some have commented on the tight sleeves, particularly with the liner in place. They are snug and can be cinched even tighter. The whole point is to hold the armor in place and I think it works well. I have two other riding jackets (one a $$$Dainese) and neither of them give me the same confidence that the armor will stay put in the event of a crash.
Haven't ridden it in the heat; I have a ventilated jacket for hot days. I bought this jacket for commuting and cold weather. So far freeway riding with temps in the low 50's is no problem. I have a similar Tourmaster that can go into the 30's with comfort so I expect this jacket will as well.
Yes, I recommend this product.

With a head circumference of 56.5 cm I am between a small and medium RS-1 Bell. I went with the medium and ordered the 5mm thicker cheekpads. Snapped in no problem and now I have a great fitting helmet.

I own a Bell RS-1 that is a snug fit, making it difficult to wear sun glasses. The photochromic shield was the perfect solution. Some have commented that it doesn't get dark enough, but it works well for me. That may be because I am used to wearing the rose colored, high contrast shades that aren't that dark to begin with. I like not having to wear sunglasses while I ride; no need to get them fitting just right before closing the shield. or having them fog on a cold day. Also works well as conditions change, particularly on East to West transitions.
Yes, I recommend this product.

What cheekpads can make my helmet fit better??

Hello I purchased a RS1, medium size a month ago and it fits me nice and snug, a little too snug, not intolerable but I wish it could fit me a little less snug, I thought it was going to break in more and not fit so snug but after a month it still fits like new, I should have ordered a large, that would of been perfect. The helmet itself is great, highly recommended.

Anyways my question is, would replacing the cheekpads from a smaller helmet size make my helmet fit better?? or less snug on the cheeks??

Thank you.
Bell sells cheekpads that are 5mm thinner than what comes standard in the RS-1. So you pick up 1cm in additional room cheek to cheek. At $15 for a pair you can't go wrong.

Will the Bell Transitions SolFX Photochromic Face Shield fit on the Bell RS-1 Emblem Hi Viz Helmet?

I own both the RS-1 and shield. They are compatible.
