Sidi Adventure GTX Boots The Sidi Adventure GTX Boots are the gold standard for adventure riding boots. Sidi pulled all the best bits from their famous line of off-road boots and combined them with the legendary quality of their road boots to create the glorious hybrid cyborg that is the Adventure Gore-Tex Boots. A bit more comfortable than off-road boots, the Adventure GTX boots incorporate a hinged ankle support, a rigid and shock-resistant heel cup and composite inner sole with a top grain leather construction, replaceable cam-lock buckles and a sweat wicking cambrelle lining. The slim adjustable calf fits easily inside the pant leg of most riding pants, something that is not always possible with a traditional off-road boot, making them all the more attractive to ADV advocates and enduro enthusiasts. To top off the list of premium features these boots are 100 waterproof and breathable with a Gore-Tex lining that is Guaranteed to Keep You Dry. Features: Soft rubber sole for maximum grip Replaceable strap system Top grain leather construction Composite inner sole Removable arch support Exclusive cam-lock buckle system Cambrelle lining Slim, cool non-bootie design Rigid, shock resistant, anatomically shaped heel for maximum protection Split grain leather inner anti-wear/heat panel Single Flex System upper

My name is Max. My world is fire. And blood. Once, I was a cop; a road warrior searching for a righteous cause. As the world fell, each of us in our own way was broken. It was hard to know who was more crazy. Me... or everyone else.
Here they come again. Worming their way into the black matter of my brain. I told myself... they cannot touch me. They are all dead.
I am the one who runs from both the living and the dead. Hunted by scavengers. Haunted by those I could not protect. So I exist in this Wasteland. A man reduced to a single instinct: survive.
...and survive I do with these boots. I was hesitant to spend the money, but they are well worth it. My only complaint is I am using these boots on my Thruxton so the padding on the top of the foot can make it hard to get under the shifter. I figure with a little more wear and practice I will be able to quickly up and downshift. My foot stays warm at all times, but never gets sweaty. They are a little awkward to walk around in (think skiboots), but certainly manageable. Just watch for chafing on your calf.

After riding my bike around for almost a year, I got fed up with the lack of GPS. While there are several options out there, I wanted to just leverage Google Maps from my Droid phone. Really all I needed was a call out not an up to date map that I have to look at. Enter the Scala Rider G9. What a great device. It took about two minutes to get it paired to my phone and now I do not have to stop every couple of miles to make sure I am on the right road. The callouts from Google Maps are perfect and I am also finding myself using my headset for music. The voice activation features were a bit annoying, but managed to figure out how to turn them off so I can talk to my passenger without turning everything on or off (hold the volume up and down). Updating the Rider is pretty easy too as long as you have a Windows based PC. The actual speakers can get a bit tinny, but only at super high volumes. Answering calls is a snap as well and is a nice feature though I do not recommend answering or making calls while on the road. My only gripe is that it is a bit pricey. If you are in the market for a great headset this is the one to get.
