I've ridden about 600-800 miles with this backpack now and I must say it feels great on the back - very sturdy with the two front clips done up.
Pros: "water resistant" >>>In my experience with 30 mins of pouring down rain it is waterproof. Perhaps they didn't quite call it waterproof because it takes an hour or maybe a couple hours to soak through? I can't be sure but I can tell you this. After 30 mins of pouring rain, I took it off and visually looked it over and I couldn't even see a DROP of rain on it! The exterior was literally dry to the touch.
Veclro ID holders - they stay stuck on quite well.
The zippers are BIG - definitely going to stand the test of time for durability!
The walls of the backpack are very thick with multiple layers - I don't see this falling apart any time soon.
Cons:
Very small in size - you really can't fit much more than the bare necessities in this bag IMO but that is no reason to give it less than a 5 star rating as that is how it was designed and advertised. I would like to see more depth inthe bag to allow thicker items to fit.
-Also be careful when clipping the front clips together because.....while fiddling with the clips hands-only (helmet was on and couldn't look down and see the clips), I guess I tried jamming them together at an angle and one of the center plastic teeth completely snapped off. Thankfully, it did not hinder the clip from functioning overall but it was disappointing to have that happen only a few days after I got the backpack. BUT AGAIN I SAY THIS IS MY FAULT, NOT THE BACKPACK's. DONT JAM THINGS IN SIDEWAYS AND YOU SHOULDN't HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH IT!
Overall I am very pleased to say this is my first official riding backpack - I'm really going to love the water resistant feature :D

I've been riding with these for about 3 weeks now and have come to a few key conclusions.....
a) I don't feel they offer significant protection in the event of a highspeed crash - knee pads, slide-resistant material, and nothing else.... This of course is exactly what is described under the safety features BUT I still feel it's not adequate for true safety on any riding pant that is to be taken on the freeway.
b) Weatherproofing works excellent - riding in 50 degree weather for 60-minute durations, these keep my legs happily warm. Have not had the chance to go any lower than 50 degrees yet.
c) Although they haven't come undone yet, I feel like the butttons on the top of the pants (that go over the zippers and around the waist) would easily come undone. I believe Rev'It should've incorporated an additional hooking mechanicsm besides the button to make these trustworthy say on long commutes.
d) LOVE how easy they are to get off and on in 30 seconds or so! Perfect for arriving at work just in the nick of time and shedding them off without making me late to clock in :)
Overall I must say these are an economical, ENTRY LEVEL, riding pant for the everyday commuter. If you frequently do spirited riding and need peace-of-mind that if you fall your body will be protected to all but scrapes & bruises I would look elsewhere.
Yes, I recommend this product.
