Easily add bracket to switch out helmets. Couldn't be any easier. This product allows you to choose the type of microphone setup you want/need for your type of helmet. Works great with full face, modular, and 3/4 helmets. Great sound quality from both speakers and mike.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Outstanding product. Huge step up from the Sean SM5 which was good. This version is upgradeable (already updated firmware once). Great battery life and with an affordable system for multiple helmets, there is no need to buy separate systems for each helmet. At first, I thought it would protrude too much, but the knob functionality for volume and other functions makes doing so with gloves very easy. Bought another set for a friend to use for bike to bike communication. Amazing distance and clarity. I recently paired this with my Iphone5 and Ipad3 running iOS6 and turn by turn directions play over muted music or over the intercom. Very nice feature; Sena is keeping their products up to date with technology.
Yes, I recommend this product.

does this have a port to plug in a mp3 player ipod

Yes, but only for Audio if you use the headphone plug. You won't have control of the player other than to change volume up or down. You have these controls if you connect by bluetooth. If you connect by bluetooth, you can virtually control all aspects of an ipod/iphone/ipad/etc. I've used the cable when I had some BT difficulties, good, but no real control to skip/pause/etc.

From Sena's product page: (see Stereo music by 3.5mm audio cable; supports above).

What's the difference b/t this model and the SMH 10? Something to do w/ the mic? thx

the 11 is universal. The mike is not attached to the main unit. You have the option for a small wire and mike-great for full faced helmets, or use the velcro boom. I have used both configurations depending on the helmet used. Additional kits, about $30 are available to duplicate the mikes on other helmets or revert back to a fixed mike. Sena makes it easy to adjust to your needs. I prefer the universal approach. Either way, sound is great and set up is easy.

Is this now Mac compatible (for the firmware upgrades)? thx

Yes. If your version has a micro usb connection. Sena has not created an application for 10.8 (mountain lion), but 10.7 does work in it's place. It is a bit cumbersome. You will likely have to change security settings of your mac to allow the install as Sena is not a Mac or affiliate developer (I had to do this, then reverted back to a safer setting). Sena provides a video on how to update or you can find it on youtube. Current firmware available as of 10-7 is 4.1.1 and I purchased mine with 4.0. I don't see a reason to upgrade until technology changes or Sena publishes a need to do so. I did not gain anything other than access to change default settings for various things. I chose to keep the defaults, imagine most would do the same.
