I have had this product on many bikes over the years. All the race bikes at Motosylum Racing 132 have had them. On the big BMW it works just as well. If you take your GSA off road at all then the Snake Skin pays huge dividends. It makes it easy to grip the tank while standing on the pegs but won't chew up your pants.

I've been using the Snake Skin since it came out and it's been on every Motosylum Racing 132 race bike I have had since then. The grip is good and it is easier on the leathers than other products. Even after years of abuse and a couple crashes the Snake Skin provides consistent feel and friction just like when it was new.

I originally bought this to go with a heated jacket and gloves. It worked great and I have no complaints! However, when I decided to push later and later into the winter it came time to get heated socks and pant liners. Then it was time to move to the dual controller.
If you don't see yourself riding in weather where you will need/ want more than a heated liner and gloves this is perfect.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Firstgear Heated Gloves There's nothing worse than trying to operate your bike with cold, numb fingers. Bulky, unheated gloves make things even tougher by reducing feel, reaction time and complicating operation of the controls. Firstgear's Warm and Safe heated gloves for men and women feature heating throughout the entire glove, while maintaining the thinness of a summer glove. The gloves plug directly into the jacket liner, or an optional separate wire harness, allowing riders to adjust the temperature of the gloves independently of the jacket with a Dual Heat-troller. Features DC-heated, produces 15 watts of heat at 12.8 Volts (each glove) and should be used with a Firstgear Heat-Troller for optimum safety Y-Harness is required for use with Firstgear Heat-troller (unless you have a Firstgear heated liner, then this is unnecessary) Grade-A, top-grain, drum-dyed cowhide construction Porelle breathable, waterproof membrane Thinsulate layer Pre-curved fingers and finger-mounted, rubber faceshield wiper Elastic wrist and adjustable hook-and-loop gauntlet closure Reinforced protection in palm Reflective piping on top Make sure to check out our Firstgear Heated Gear Buyers Guide

I could, however, feel my clutch and brake levers! The real test was an Iron Butt from Washington DC to Miami FL while headed to Key West. 2013 was an unusually cold November. When I left on Thanksgiving morning it was 19*f at 4am. I never saw above freezing until I hit Fayetteville NC and it was in the low 40's in Titusville FL.
Granted, I had the whole heated ensemble- liner, gloves, pant liner and socks but I kept toasty warm the whole way. Over 1,050 miles and cold was one thing I didn't think about.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Firstgear Heated Jacket Liner Firstgear's no one left behind policy ensures that riders of any model motorcycle can take advantage of the warming effects of heated apparel by choosing between either the 65- or 90-watt versions. Good for low-amperage bikes or passengers not requiring as much heat as the rider, the 65-watt units minimizes the draw on the bike's charging system. The 65 watt version is black, while the 90 watt version is grey. Efficient warming is dependent upon close proximity to the body. Firstgear reduced the amount of sizes while ensuring a good fit by incorporating stretch panels into the liner's design. The long-sleeve liner cocoons its wearer in warmth by incorporating heating elements across the upper and lower back, down the sleeves, around the neck and, to combat the effects of windchill, the liner concentrates heat in the front of the jacket. Opted for this liner because a friend has one and commutes by bike every day. So I knew it worked well. When I say "a bit messy", I mean that it is easy to put too much oil on. Apparently last season I did. Not a huge deal, but it did leave a oily film inside my airbox and a few drips here and there. Nothing inside the throttle bodies or intake runners. I'll be a little more careful this time!
Plenty of product in the package. If you only have one bike this could last years.

Perfect addition to a jacket liner and gloves! My hands get colder than my core while riding so I can dial up the gloves without cooking my core. Knobs are easy to use with gloves on. LED that blinks to confirm setting adjustment is a nice feature.

Just returned from a 1200 mile ride around Lake Ontario. The longest leg was about 400 miles trying to beat hurricane Isaac leftovers home. Having done a 300 mile ride without the Airhawk, I can say there is a huge difference! The best part about this product (other than bang for the buck) is that it is quickly removed and stored away. I used the medium on my '12 BMW R1200 GS/A.
Yes, I recommend this product.
