I've worn this in hot, cold, rain, wind, and dust. I haven't had any problems with keeping my body temp regulated and staying dry.
That being said, I would like to point out a few things:
The back pocket zipper on the left side has torn away from the outter shell of the jacket. I haven't used the zipper with the exception of when I first bought it to see how big the pocket was...then I noticed that the pocket is more of a tunnel all the way to the right side zipper. I'm right handed so I've been using the right side zipper to store small things in...I'm a bit put out that the left zipper has torn with no use.
The jacket has nice air vents that allow air to flow through. I don't like the way the air scoops will 'inflate out' when the vent is closed. It's a bit of a drag...literally, when riding and you don't need that function.
Also, I'd love to see some arm air vents...my core will be good and cool, but my arms will sweat pretty good when it's warm outside.
The bright yellow color is great and the black gives it a cool look. I'd love to see more reflective material for night or low light driving...esp in the back. A nice reflective logo or something catchy in that huge plain yellow back would work.
On my last trip, we rode the TAT #Trans American Trail# and it's mostly dirt and gravel. I rode in the back of the group, so I caught a lot of dust. When I got home and went to wash the jacket, I noticed that you have to hand wash it... This proved to be pretty hard since I don't have a wash bucket like the days of old. I had to fill up the bathtub and well...it's not easy to wash and rinse. The jacket weighs a ton when it's full of water...and since it's waterproof, it's very hard to get all the water out and dried.
I never was able to get all of the dirt stains out of the jacket, so now it's a bit duller yellow than when I bought it. It's still plenty bright, but just not as bright as it once was.
My last issue with this is more of a package problem. I would like to have the jacket and pants be simular #bright yellow# but the manufacture only makes the pants in black.
Overall, I'm happy to have this as a piece of protective gear. Other than the zipper issue, I've not had one snag, tear, or water leak.
