AltRider Luggage Rack XT1200Z Super Tenere The AltRider Luggage Rack for the Yamaha Super Tenere XT1200Z is greatly improved over the stock version making it one of the first parts youll want to install on your new adventure bike. Designed to be strong for on or off road riding adventures, its made from 3/16 inch (4.75 mm) aluminum and features side flanges for added rigidity and mounting points, as well as a completely redesigned bracket. This design also allows the luggage rack to be run in the low position (with out pillion seat or grab handles). Part of the design was to use the same hardware, so there is nothing to loose. The AltRider Luggage Rack comes with a mounting bracket, made from 3/16 inch (4.75 mm) aluminum, which replaces the stock plastic mounting bracket and greatly increases the racks capacity. Between the bracket and rack we created a cubby that is 8.5 X 6 X 3. The cut-out pattern is perfect for creating a door with a bungee cord (ROK straps), making it a perfect glove box to stuff items in without the need to secure them. The rack itself is uniquely designed with a variety of cut-outs, so you can easily attach your bags with anything from straps to bungee cords to tie downs. If you want the option of using a top case, the AltRider Luggage Rack provides an interface for the Givi Monokey systems , allowing attachment with a mount kit (sold separately). AltRider Yamaha Super Tenere XT1200Z Crash Bars Now that youre the proud owner of a Yamaha Super Tenere XT1200Z, you want crash bars to protect it. AltRider's are built from one inch stainless steel so theyll never rust, and feature beautiful hand TIG welds. In designing these crash bars, AltRider went through the trouble of maintaining the hidden connector in the front to yield a seamless system. Why is that important It means the energy of a hard impact on one side can be transferred throughout the bars and to the other side. The three mounts on one side dont have to take an entire impact load instead, it is distributed across six mount mounts so none of them are overwhelmed. All of this is important because the crash bars will not only protect the fairing in the case of a crash, but also the Super Teneres exposed radiator. We also conducted a thorough study to identify the bikes contact points when on its side. This led to a crash bar design that offers a wide contact area between the crash bars and the ground. The other contact points will be the handlebar bar ends, and rear passenger peg protecting the fairing, engine, radiator, and brake and shifter lever. Additionally, AltRider ensured the glove box side panel will have plenty of clearance to be easily removed while bars are still installed. I have not had to test them out yet but they feel very sturdy. A little tough to get on solo but doable. Following the install instructions and watching Altrider's video helped. Getting the last side bolt in required quite a bit of pulling to get the hole lined up even with all other bolts still loose.

Works as advertised. Goes on quick with locktight on the threads. Provides a nise stable platform in the loose stuff. Never felt the bike was going to sink in and tip over even when fully loaded. Thick steel has not deformed at all over 9000 miles.

Purchased this jacket for cross country trip in August. It worked very well to keep me cool when it was hot. I got caught in two heavy rain storms and the the internal liner kept me dry. The thermal liner did well down in the low 50s for an extended period. Any colder though and I would have needed the electric liner.
