FIT: I am 5' 7", jean size 33'W x 30"L, and originally thought I needed a size M. It was too tight and I returned for a large. The large fit ok in waist with liner, etc, and without liner using waist adjustments was fine. The leg length was too long, and at the bottom, they seemed almost bell-bottom shaped. Held shows a short length option for the large size, but it was not available, so I took these to a local tailor, who was able to raise the knee armor pockets and shorten the length to my specs. Best $50 I ever spent, as the fit now is terrific.
Quality: They arrive in a very nice Held zipper bag, and are really very nice looking pants. These are well made, as you would expect at this price point and their top brand construction components and Held legacy. They feature good, deep, zippered pockets on both sides, sturdy hardware and double closure at the fly. They include nice metal buttons for the optional braces. The knee armor is very good, the hip armor should be replaced with the optional upgrade. They have very good venting and their light color helps reflect heat. The leather seat area really does keep you from sliding in the saddle. The Gore-tex liner zips in at the top and at the bottom of each leg for a secure fit.
Recommendation: if your a perfect fit for these or have a good tailor, go for it... you won't be disappointed.

STYLE AND QUALITY: The jacket is shipped in a nice zipper Held bag, and the overall style is top notch. This is one of the best looking jackets I've seen. This is not a lightweight jacket, with the back armor upgrade it weighs 7.5 lbs. Build quality is evident throughout, it doesn't disappoint and compared to other high-end jackets it easily justifies the price.
FIT: I'm 5'7", average build (shirt size 16x32) and had tried the jacket in medium, which fit ok with the liner removed, but with the liner and a couple layers underneath would have been too tight for my comfort. The large fits nicely, even without the liner. The side and arm adjustments provide sufficient range to dial in a good fit depending on under layers.
FEATURES: There are nine air intake vents on the jacket, and three exhaust vents on the back. The magnets, arm straps and neck flap retainer all work well to hold the vents open at speed. This jacket provides about the maximum ventilation available in a four season jacket or one that's not full mesh. The shoulder and elbow armor are first rate, the back pad should be replaced with the upgrade. There are too many pockets to count. The cell phone pocket is too small for my OtterBox encased iPhone.
RECOMMENDATION: This jacket fits the bill for year round touring all weather gear that should last for years of service.

RevZilla Face Shield / Visor Bag Oversized banana pouch Smile holder Maybe. Visor tote Definitely. Don't scratch up your faceshield! Carry it along in RevZilla's handy visor tote. How many times have you put a nick in your tinted or clear shield from letting it float around in your backpack, saddlebag, or stuffed inside your jacket Never again shall your visor suffer such ignominy! Made from 600D Maxtura and padded to keep your shield snuggled up safely, this visor bag is just the ticket for keeping your shield clean, clear, and unblemished. If you have an anti-fog coating (many shields do), protecting it is the first step in having it work correctly. Rep some ZLA style with the highly-reflective logo emblazoned on the tote. A handy carry strap is included for lashing to the tippy- top of the stack of gear you take on your next trip! Note Faceshield and/or banana sold separately.

Will a Schuberth C3 shield fit in this bag?

Is the shell itself, without the liner, waterproof?

Can you just close all the flaps and have a water proof jacket? The same question for the Torno pants.
While I think you could treat the outer Cordura layer with water repellent, to be fully water proof, you will need to use the Gore-Tex liners for the jacket and pants. I have both, and they fit together nicely, and I would wear in summer shower without concern, but for heavy, long term wet weather riding, the Gore-Tex is a must.
