I bought this unit over others because it has a replaceable battery. All of these units have rechargeable batteries in them and will need a new battery in 2-4 years. If you buy a unit with an integral battery in it and the manufacturer does not have provisions for swapping it (and I have not seen any that do), then you will be buying a new headset when the battery needs replacement -- definitely not cool.
I find that turning the unit on or off with while wearing even summer gloves to be impossible. You need to press two buttons simultaneously and I find that impossible to do while gloved. So if I begin my ride without remembering to turn it on my only choice is to pull to the side of the road, take off the glove, turn it on and then get moving again.
The volume up and down buttons work well with gloves, however finding and pressing the middle button is difficult.
Even though I work in electronics, I found the instructions very difficult to follow. I had to contact their tech support to get mine properly set up and am still having some issues which I have not yet determined are the fault of the headset or my phone.
It would be nice if they made a handlebar mounted accessory to control this unit -- I think that it would make it safer too.
The sound quality, even at highway speeds is great and if you are using it in a full helmet as I am when talking on the phone the other party has no idea that you are zipping along.
One note on using a phone on a bike. I never make outgoing calls while riding and will only answer a call if I know the caller and know that I can talk and still focus 100% on the road. Otherwise, it's just an unnecessary risk!
Yes, I recommend this product.

Powerlet Rapidfire Jacket Liner With Dual Wireless Controller Package Powerlet's RapidFIRe Heated Jacket Liner packaged with includes the Dual Wireless Remote Heat Controller. Controller receiver is pre-installed and Pre-synced for your convenience. Powerlet's new RapidFIRe Heated Jacket Liner with CNC (Carbon Nano Core) heating uses Far Infrared technology to provide fast, deep, soothing warmth. Now the warmest liner on the market at 105 watts! Built in stuff sack and no annoying heating wires of any kind! Stay Warm While Riding Powerlet's 105 watt RapidFIRe heated jacket liners pack down to a very small size to fit on the bike when not in use. Not only the warmest heated clothing available, but ProForm stretch panels also make them the most comfortable. We recommend using a temperature controller with the RapidFIRe 105 watt jacket liners. The RapidFIRe Advantage The most unique feature is the heating system that we incorporate into every liner. Using the latest in Carbon Nanotube technology, Powerlet's Carbon Nano Core panels heat quickly and evenly without the hot spots or long heat times other conventional wired garments require. Additionally, Powerlet is the ONLY manufacturer to offer a dual heat setting that permits you to switch the total consumption to not exceed 60 watts. This means those of you who have bikes or vehicles that do not have the electrical output capacity to power a traditional or competitors liner can rest assured that the RapidFIRe line will get powered without draining your battery and leaving you stranded. Additionally, Powerlet once again incorporated the ProForm stretch panels that provide three key advantages non-binding movement, maximum heat transfer and simple sizing. While all three are very important, maximum heat transfer is perhaps the most important. For maximum heat transfer the heated garments must be close to the body. A long sleeve T-Shirt is recommended under the heated liners. A heavier layer can be worm over the garment. Other heated clothing manufacturers provided many sizes to attempt to create a snug fit. This often leads to a more complicated purchase and the potential improper fit if your weight changes. RapidFIRe 105 Watt Jacket Liner Features Dual Heat 105 / 60 Watt convertibility by a simple cable disconnect Wind and water resistant Polyurethane coated nylon outer shell ProForm stretch panels provide comfort and simple standard sizing Ultra thin design provides comfort and small storage Comfortable heated Polartec fleece collar wicks moisture Zippered pockets manage power cables Handy built in stuff sack allows for storage on the vehicle Unique sleeve finishing reduces bulk around wrists Glove connectors are located at the ends of the sleeves Heated on the front, back arms and collar - Full heat coverage Quick heat time of 20 seconds or less on the jacket liners Designed For A Lifestyle Powerlet designs heated garments for people who rely on their heated clothing for both comfort and safety. Like our customers, we enjoy a lifestyle utilizing convenient modern electronics and wear our heated gear for commutes to work and trips across the country. Built For A Lifetime Powerlet seeks the highest quality materials and craftsmanship. All of our heated clothing products are developed and tested in the USA by people who ride regularly. Quality components and attention to detail ensure Powerlet products resist wear and corrosion to last a lifetime. All Powerlet RapidFIRe heated clothing carries a lifetime warranty on the electrics and a lifetime warranty on manufacturing defects.

What a great way to ride in the cold without having to wear so many layers that you look like the Michelin Man.
I was riding wearing two sweatshirts over my long sleeved shirt under my thick leather jacket and still freezing even at 40 degrees.
Now, I wear the liner under my leather jacket and have to keep it set on low to not overheat when the temp outside is the same.
As the temp drops, turn it up a bit and continue to be toasty warm.
Installation took all of 15 minutes (most of it wrestling off that stupid poorly designed plastic cover over my Road King's battery,)
I left about four inches of the coax connector siting loose on the left side of my bike and as soon as I sit down I can easily plug in the liner.
I mounted the wireless control using velcro on top of my clutch control where I can easily adjust it with my left hand.

I considered just buying glove liners but decided that a pair of gloves with gauntlets would seal up the glove to sleeve connection and make for more comfortable riding.
I wanted a pair of gloves with serious street protection for my hands. These gloves have all the features that anyone who values their hands should want.
They heat up really quickly and make my commute a pleasant experience.
The sizing chart is a bit off -- suggesting that you may need one size up from your regular gloves. My summer gloves are a medium but according to their chart I need a large. However, after calling in for advice I was told to order a medium and they fit very well.
I especially like the additional velcro strap to make the gloves fit really snugly.

I ordered this cover to protect my Road King during the day from rain as well as dust and bird droppings. The cover fits the bike perfectly and takes only a few seconds to toss on.
I no longer have an excuse for leaving my bike out in the elements.
As usual, I got my order next day. What more can you ask for -- great prices and immediate shipment.

I work with my hands and would be lost without them so I ordered a good pair of gloves to protect them.
The gloves fit really well, are comfortable and offer a nice amount of protection. My only nit-pick is that they came with some loose threads which means that eventually they will fall apart if you don't glue those threads which I did.
Imagine falling off your bike and sliding down the road on your hands with cheap or worse yet no gloves. It wouldn't be pretty.
Remember, all the gear, all the time. Anything less, even on a five minute ride could lead to you suffering for the rest of your life.
If it's too hot to ride with your gear, stay home or take an air conditioned car.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I've been told that I have a "round" head but apparently not round enough for this model. It appears well constructed and the finish is great. But alas, the cheek pads were way too tight and paying another $40 for smaller pads didn't seem to make any sense. I ordered an RF1100 and the fit is great.
The helmet is a great value if it fits your head.
