Icon Super Duty 4 Boots The fourth iteration of our industry defining Superduty boot pays direct homage to it's SD1 patriarch. The visually defining rubber nub interface and clean pattern lines keep the boot's appearance smooth while hidden ghillie laces reduce snag potential. The new bottom unit provides increased support, durability, and grip while layered foam increases comfort. The midfoot support strap, with upgraded aluminum buckle, provides increased foot retention. Finally, the reduced toebox height provides a greater range of fitment. The Superduty 4, the next step in motorcycle footwear. Durable leather upper Axialmetric steel shank Slip resistant rubber sole Footpeg interface arch Internal ankle protection Adjustable midfoot stabilizer strap Aluminum positive-lock buckle Low profile lacing system Shifter interface nubs

I'm definitely a fan of Icon riding boots. Very hard to beat for the money. I had the original Super Duty boots and loved them. I wore them all the time for all types of riding, and when they got a little ratty for going out, I still used them for dual sport riding and yard work. They finally bit the dust when tending a brush fire and the soles came unglued from the heat. Still wearing a pair of SD3's and did 7500 miles in January and February in a pair of Icon Patrols. I work in an office but we get a lot of "jeans days" and since my SD3's were starting to look a bit worn, I decided to get a new pair of boots for riding to work. I've got about 200 miles of commuting on my SD4's now. They are still breaking in but were comfortable from the start. Look good with jeans and acceptable for the office. Icon's have always fit me well and a 10.5 was spot-on again. Shifting and braking are fine. I was probably just as happy with the lacing on my SD3's, but the set-up on the SD4's is fine. The little tab on the back for pulling them on was always hanging up on my pants so I trimmed them off with a razor blade. Fixed. I've noticed the top edge to be a little "hard" if my ankle is bent for an extended time (toes on pegs); especially if the tongue has slipped a little to the side. I think as the boots break in, this will go away. Not a big deal. Only reason they aren't a 5 is that they still aren't as good as the original Super Duty boots!
Good boots and as always, great service from Revzilla.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I'm a big fan of Icon boots. I've worn out two pairs of Superduty boots and decided to try out the Patrols since I wanted something a little higher and more positively waterproof.
Fit - I wear between a 10 and an 11 in most shoes and the 10.5 has fit right in every pair of Icon boots I've had. I'd say I have slim calves/ankles/feet. I could see where if someone had bigger calves/ankles/feet and had to have the buckles fairly loose then there might be issues with the front flap really closing over the rest of the boot. It just barely comes together on mine.
Comfort - They are fairly stiff at first and it takes some fiddling to get the buckles where they feel secure but allow enough flex to not dig in at the top. I haven't removed the laces yet but I probably will. I'm not tightening them anymore and the slider is just another bit to cause a hot spot on the foot. I anticipate these are going to be very comfy once fully broken in. Great for walking. It's getting to be winter and they provide good warm, might be steamy in the summer.
Looks - look like a quality boot without being too weird for wearing with jeans on "jeans day" at an office job.
Haven't had a chance to test the waterproofness yet.
Yes, I recommend this product.
