I got this armor because I wanted to upgrade my CE-1 armor to CE-2 armor. This armor is not only rated higher for protection, but its very flexible, lightweight, and ventilates well. It's also relatively inexpensive for what you get. I use this in my small Icon Overlord Leather Jacket.

I like having leg armor and strap-on armor allows you to have leg armor no matter what you're wearing. I chose forcefield armor because it's CE certified and can be used multiple times. It feels very sturdy and I feel like it would protect well if anything happens.

These overpants are waterproof so they block wind well. However, the waterproof liner is not removable so it might not be great for warmer weather. They unzip all the way so it's easy to put on. The bottom of these overpants can be velcroed tight so even though these pants are a bit long for me, they won't ever drag. The knee armor is adjustable but because of the length of the pants on me, they won't go over my knee. However, I have very short legs so it should be fine for the average person. The fabric feels durable and I trust them to be good abrasion protection.

I wanted some hip and thigh protection since most riding pants have little to no protection so I got the Klim Tactical Shorts. The armor is extremely comfortable due to its flexibility and is low profile so the shorts fit under my jeans. I feel that the coverage is adequate if I ever need it.

It's spandex and not abrasion resistant.
