The lock works as advertised. The alarm doesn't really sound that loud when you are outside, but its annoying enough to deter. But, just like my Club for my car, it is a meant to make stealing your bike a enough of a pain in the axe that the lazy thief decides to walk on to a vehicle that's easier to steal.

You might be wearing shoulder pads, but you don't want to look like you are. I got these to go in the RSD Ronin jacket. They fit in the jacket, but if your shoulders are broad they will stick out when you wear the jacket. If you are going for an on or off the bike look with your RSD jacket, these pads ruin the look. I still wear the elbow and back protector pads, but these shoulder pads were cramping my style, literally.

I bought this glove but ended up returning it. It looks kinda cool online, but when it arrives it is not nearly as sleek as the pictures. It is wide and the fingers are thick like on a pair of stuffed winter gloves (like the kind little kids wear).
I bought an RSD jacket and wanted to stick with the brand for my gloves, but unfortunately these gloves really aren't up to snuff. There's no padding or armor anywhere on the glove, but you already know that from the specs... the problem is it doesn't look nearly as cool/stylish in the pictures (75% of the reason I got them) and doesn't seem to be very well made compared to other gloves at this price point.

Great jacket. I was strongly considering getting a Schott NYC classic cafe racer jacket and ended up getting this because of the perforation/ventilation and armor. I'm glad I did.
The Ronin breathes great, so it is not at all hot to wear it in Chicago summer weather. I'd leave it at home if the temperature was over 90 though. The armor fits in the pockets well and is not very noticeable; they do make the jacket a little bit more stiff though.
I'm 5'7", 160 lbs, with an athletic build. I wear a medium in t-shirts because I like a snug fit; the medium Ronin fits me perfectly with or w/o armor in.
The styling is unique without being flashy; the patchwork leather on the elbows sets it apart from similar jackets but doesn't jump out at you in an obnoxious way. Its just a nice touch that makes the jacket distinct. The black is not as shiny as it is the pictures; its more matte than glossy.
I love this jacket and strongly recommend it as an all-arounder for riders for whom style matters.

I was on the fence between this and the Dianese Technical Sneaker. I saw the Dianese in the storeroom and it did not look nearly as durable as these. The thick black leather of the sneaker really sets these apart from a regular Chuck-Taylor style gym shoe. These shoes do not breathe much and the soles are harder and flatter than regular gym shoes. That said, the hard sole and toe counter combine to make gear shifting a little easier than in my Adidas and the heel counter and ankle armor make me feel safer. The shoes are well put together and appear to be built to last.

I got the 7 and it fits perfect. These gloves can be sized down 1-2 sizes. In my case, going down from the recommended 8 to a 7 did the trick. I hope this helps other riders.

Yes. I wear it here in Chicago where the temperature is currently in the 80s (Fahrenheit). The perforations make the jacket breath tremendously.

What size should I buy?
I'm 5'11", weight 165 and have a 40inch chest with an athletic build. I'm reading that this jacket fits small...but how small are we talking? I see the Large is for chests 41-44...just don't want to be swimming in it!

Do you use the shift pad
Has anyone used the "shift pad" that comes with the shoe? What's your verdict: yes or no?
Never used it. When I tried to like it onto the shoe, the "O"-shaped "pad' was too small to go over the toe of the shoe.
