I bought this helmet for its excellent ventilation and it didnt let me down. My first ride was in 90 degree temps and the vents worked great. When I got home I realized I didn't even have them all open! It is a bit noisy but with my old helmet I needed the visor open for air so technically my experiance is that it is quieter. If you use ear plugs (everyone should) its not out of hand or annoying. I have noticed no buffeting at all even when turning my head at triple digit speeds. It is very comfortable and the quality of the finish is top notch. Its a bit heavier than expected but I do have an xxl. Overall it is far better than I expected and at the price I expected alot.
Yes, I recommend this product.

i want this helmet, but i have some questions

right off the bat i'm going to need a dark smoke shield. this is a $800+ helmet, whats the deal with the shields? like most helmets it ships with a clear shield, but then you are selling dual panes, inserts, tear offs (i know these are for racing), pinlock inserts...the list goes on.

I'm a Bell Star guy, they make things fairly simple. If I am to get into the Arai game, can someone please explain to me what I need to be equipped with a dark smoke shield for sunny street riding conditions. Thanks.
There are two ways you can have a smoked shield on a corsair v. 1 get a tinted SAI shield (cheapest and clearest way). 2 get a clear max vision pin lock SAI shield and a tinted max vision pin lock insert. Google or wiki pin lock shield if you want more info on it. The "Max Vision" just means that the pin lock insert is the same size as the opening on the helmet so there is no gap around it. Hope this helps
