The G9 is another level up in sound quality and mic technology. It's a decent product. It may be intuitive to some but not totally to me. When I press the rider A button, if there isn't a Rider A available, it keeps repeating Rider A not available again and again. Also, it sometimes disconnects from cell phone or the two-way intercom, and it has nothing to do with terrain and barriers to radio waves. The voice command doesn't seem to recognize my spoken names in my phone book except by chance.
Now, do I like it? Overall, I'd say yes. When it's working correctly it's pretty good. But these things have yet to achieve the level of connectivity of two-way radios or cell phone to cell phone. But battery life is good. Sound, even with hearing protection in, is good. And I'm still waiting for the evolved solution.
Yes, I recommend this product.

The Rebel is expensive, but it is great in warm or cool weather. With venting galore, four of the vents zipper controlled, and a thermal liner for those cool evenings or coastal foggy rides.
Yes, I recommend this product.

How do the microphones attach?

How do the microphones physically attach to the Bluetooth module? Is it some proprietary connection or something more standardized? I'm trying to determine if I can replace the included boom/wired mics with a throat mic, such as those made by Iasus. Because the G9 is so new I havent heard of anyone attempting this or even how the G9 mics attach. Looking at the Revzila G9 video it looked li,e the mics may attach with a headphone-style jack but it was kind of hard to tell.
I believe you can get a pdf of the manual which shows how the boom and chinbar mounts for the two different mic types are attached. I would say it's a propriatary mounting, not a standard mic mount setup. Also, email tech support for a more definitive answer.

Does the G9 have ( AGC ) Automatic Gain Control ?

Yes. The G4 and G9 both have auto gain control. This feature works fairly well, but it is not perfect. It does help to reduce fiddling with the volume when riding along and ambient noise level changes.

How does the noise canceling tech on the G9 compare to the sena smh10 or the the interphone f5

I cannot answer your comparison question about the G9 and other units. All I can tell you is that I spoke to a riding buddy today - he was at home, I was on the road - and he had no idea I was riding down a bumpy road on a fairly loud triumph tiger with aftermarket exhaust. My friend, who is never impressed, said he was impressed at the sound quality. I also had a medical assistant call me to speak with me about a prescription as I wailed along at 80mph in a closed position modular helmet - not a particularly quiet one either - and he had no idea I was on a motorcycle. I can tell you both the G4 and G9 have no problems with noise cancellation. I would PREFER a port for earbuds, but with hearing protection in place, and relying on the in-helmet speakers, I have no trouble hearing behind a small windscreen of a duc multistrada 12 or a triumph tiger, up to about 80mph, at which point I prefer to ride and not talk.

misc

will the g9 comunicate with the g4? if i have a mp3 with built in bluetooth will it work with the g9 and prioritize between that phone and othe conversations on a g9. with the 500 dollar 2 headseat g9 is that for 2 drivers? if just using the two headsets both hear mp3 and cancle when you talk to eachother?
The manual and tech support say the G9 will communicate/accept pairing with the G4. I haven't tried yet, and have both. Your MP3 should work fine, and the options set up allows you to set priorities for which functions take precendence. The 500 buck, or thereabouts, set is a pair - for two helmets. Either two riders, or rider and passenger. I've tried both ways. My wife who tends to hate this stuff, is slowly becoming a fan. I've not mastered the fine art of having one set linked to music and having the other rider/user hearing the music. However on the G4 I was experimenting trying to call my riding buddy by cell phone instead of intercom. I got his home number and wife instead, and then somehow - I still don't know how, maybe clicked his A or B designation - got his wife, me and him all on a three way phone call. I've not duplicated this yet. I don't recall seeing this in the manual. But then the manual is not known as the most intuitive item around. I'm still baffled by some functions, and just bang my way around, ususally successfully. So you can link a phone function to both ride A and rider B, but I frankly cannot tell you how that occurs.

Does the G9 fit on the existing G4 mount/mic?

And if it does fit, is it possible to purchase just the G9 units themselves and not the entire mounting kit?
I checked with tech support on the issue of the G9 mounting to G4 helmet platform.
They said, they know it goes the other way - the G4 will connect to the G9 mount - but weren't sure it would work with G9 to G4 helmet mounts. Tech recommends that one get G9 helmet mounts for any G4s, in that the mics and the speakers are improved. I personally tried the G9 on the G4 mount and it didn't seem to be a stellar fit. I didn't try the functionality. So, I would tend to go with tech support and get G9 mounting systems for any G4.

Replacement and Sport Hump.

It was mentioned in the video that the santa monica was a step up from this jacket, but I heard it is actually the replacement is that true? If it is an upgrade what are the benefits of the santa monica over the rebel?

Also is the sport hump on the rebel smaller than that of the santa monica and del mar?
I believe the hump is smaller. Haven't directly compared. But it is small and unobtrusive.
