Shark Speed-R Sauer Helmet SHARK is proud to present a new philosophy. Utilizing all SHARKs expertise in safety, innovation and function the SPEED -R is a helmet specifically designed to meet the passionate demands of un-faired motorcycle riders. Double blade air spoiler positioned at the rear of the Speed-R, it allows the air to flow above and below the blade, hence the dual venturi effect to extract warm air from the helmet. Spoiler/stabilizer at its rear base trim the Speed-R has a spoiler, which stabilizes the helmet and the cancels the buffering effect. The immediate benefit is no air turbulence running inside the helmet and greater stability at a steady speed. Features Latest generation composite long fibre construction Integrated, drop down sun visor Extensive wind-tunnel testing to perfect aerodynamics and ventilation system for use with naked road bikes Double cavity rear spoiler creates faster air circulation to drastically reduce fogging Rear deflector stabilizer reduces helmet buffeting Faceshield varies in thickness and is optically correct, scratch resistant and anti-fog coated Completely remove and washable COOLMAX lining Shark Easy Fit glasses system offers wearers a comfort lining which has a pre-tted system to accommodate all types of glasses ECE 2205 and DOT approved Two shell sizes

I ride both a cruiser and a sport bike. I bought this helmet primarily because I needed a light color helmet for summer riding and I really likes the SHARP rating this helmet got. I have a shoie gt air and a shoie qwest as well. This shark helmet has superior aerodynamics and is a lot lighter than the other two helmets mentioned above. The air flow isn't bad without the chin curtain (removable). It is also a lot more comfortable - better quality interior but still a tight race fit (which I really like in my helmets) but it's not as restricting as the gt air is. The built in sun visor come down lower so no irritating bright strip at the bottom of your view. AS others have mentioned the shield latch is a bit hard to open (or feel) with gloves on and there are no detentes (I knew this going in and have no issue with not having them). The shield is pin lock ready and does come with a clear pin lock shield - there's some confusion in the reviews about this. All in all I have no real cons except the shield latch being hard to find or open with gloves.

The fit is true to size. Be advised it does say to hand wash. From what I've read the kevlar is not the issue (*according to dupont). Perhaps it says that because they are 100% cotton and will shrink. I planned on that so bought 32s in this product. I generally wear 31x32 levis 505's. After washing, these fit just a tad larger in the waist that my regular levis.
I have no complaints - needed something a little more protective than regular jeans that I could wear all day long at work. These fit the bill.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I purchased the black. These boots are really very well made. The leather is quite thick and of good quality. They are also very nice looking if you are going for the work boot style. They are definitely boots though so if you like tennis shoe styles these...work boots.
Those fit perfectly out of the box for me. For some perhaps the ankle area would need to loosen some. The toe box is quite roomy which for me translates into comfortable.
As for protection and durability...these are not armored except for the plastic toe box and maybe some light hard ankle protection but the layering of the leather I would expect to really hold up well in a crash scenario. I expect due to the quality the durability should be there.
With the light perforation these do not get too hot and I have ridden with them for a couple hours on a 98 degree sunny Texas day. Make no mistake though, they do not flow air. I was just surprised my feet didn't sweat more than they did.
Overall these are very nice looking work style boots, comfortable and have decent protection for a low boot.
Yes, I recommend this product.

FIT- I'm female, athletic build (lean muscle - not totally flat belly but close) - 38C bra size and 30 inch waist in levi's jeans - 28 inch waist at belly button. I purchased this vest in small and the fit is good. The adjustments along the torso are snug and leave me plenty of adjustability in either direction. The chest is not too tight or loose for me. It leaves an inch or so...enough to be able to wear a leather jacket under - which would fit fairly snuggly - and not too much room that if flaps around when I wear just a shirt under. I do have broad shoulders like a swimmer - and if I didn't I would think the shoulders would stick out some.
I bought this vest as a "the least protection I'm willing to ride with" hot Texas summer (100 degrees and over) solution. It works as that (since we have already had a couple days like that). There's not a lot of perf so your lower torso might get a bit hot at lights.
The features that were important to me specifically are leather with smartly places perforation (not in the impact area) abrasion resistance and the pocket for the back protector. I did buy a back protector - since spin protection is important to me..
This vest looks really good - not feminine - which I prefer actually because the girly stuff out there often compromises on protection and is pink, purple, or leopard print (yuck to all). Fits nicely and I have received complements about it looking sexy on me - which is a bonus - put not all that important to me.
The three pockets are plenty for what I carry (glasses in hard case, wallet, iphone, garage door opener) but if I generally carried a purse it would not likely fit much of what would be in a purse.
Overall this is a very well made product - some have said they wanted the back protector to come with it but I'm cool with having to purchase that separately because I got to choose what brand (SAS-TEC) without feeling like I paid for something that I would replace with something I felt was better. I think the price is right for the quality of the materials.
Yes, I recommend this product.

This is a great looking jacket. It does get hot when sitting at a stop light in heat above 95f but not where the mesh is - where the more protective fabric is. I'm perfectly fine with that trade off. As for protection - it is what it is - mesh not leather but the armor is really good for a jacket of this type and price- definitely upgrade the back protector. The style is awesome...I get lots of complements. Good for commutes in hot weather with decent protection (not great protection but again it's mesh).

This thing hold more than it looks like it would. It is well made. I use it every day an more than one bike and more than one attachment configuration. It is very well made, durable and is water proof - if you follow the directions. The white insert is a nice touch for being able to see things in the bag easily.

These jeans look nice. Like other reviewers have said - since they are lined the thighs fit snug but definitely true to size. They are along the lines of levi's 505 fit and style. The waste does come up higher and they are button fly. I would not wear these 95f degrees or above as I would expect they will be quite hot. Good protection for what they are but can;t speak to durability.

I ride a sport bike and a cruiser and I commute - so I'm riding almost every day. I needed a helmet that did well in the tuck position with aerodynamics but vented well in the upright position as well. The other feature I need in all my gear is, less equipment to carry on the bike. Also, since I commute, I prefer a helmet with a fully removable washable liner.
So I loved the features on this helmet especially the built in smoke sun shield (this is the shoei dark smoke by the way). That way I don't have to carry an extra shield somewhere.
The pinlock defogging shield is also nice but I wear glasses and commute both during the day and at night so this is less useful for me (since you are not supposed to wear the pinlock insert at night). But it does help a lot with the shield not fogging up.
The airflow is good. Not as good as the QWEST but still good.
This helmet shines, in my opinion, with the aerodynamics. I have been riding with it in some pretty heavy Texas crosswinds and my head does not buffet around much at all. Same with head checks - no real buffeting. This is/was a problem with the QWEST.
It is also quite light and really darn quiet. It's lighter and quieter than the QWEST.
Fit - I like my helmets to fit more like a race fit (fairly tight). I wear a Small in the QWEST and a small in this one but this one does fit a bit more snugly than the QWEST does in the head shape department. The cheek area fits the same.
Now comfort and safety - The lining is really really great. Very soft and comfortable. Much nicer than the QWEST lining. And I really think the emergency release cheek pads are a very nice touch and honestly another "at the top of my list" features that sold me.
Please note: this is only DOT certified (right now at least). Just wanted to point that out even though Anthony mentions it in the video review and it is clear in the product details.

First I want to say my bang for the buck rating is based on the fact that I got this on sale. If it was not on sale, I probably would not have bought it. I also bought this jacket as a passenger jacket for those people who simply want at ride with me on occasion.
Protection - It does not have any back protection or a pocket for adding back protection. The shoulder and elbow/forearm protection is good though.
Style - This jacket's overall lines are great - looks great on (even with the leopard print lining). One thing I'm not fond of is if you want to ride with the jacket neck open to flow more air, the snaps (that secure the neck when buttoned up) have no way to keep them from flapping in the wind (beating against you). As other reviewers have said, leopard print lining - REALLY?! Yuck. But okay - at least it's not pink. I swear why do jacket manufacturers think all women want to sacrifice protection to show their curves and we all love pink and animal prints? But I digress.
Also as others have said - the sleeves are a little long for the sizing but the sleeve snaps have two adjustments so that helps with that issue.
All in all this is a really good looking jacket and for the full price not too bad but I would think you could find a jacket that provides back protection (at least the option) for the same price range.
Yes, I recommend this product.
