This is a high quality jacket, but without the liners in, it becomes fairly loose. And if you size it to fit without the liners in, I imagine it would be very snug with the liners.
I used the size chart and ordered a medium. I am 5' 7", 165 #39" chest# and it fit well with the liners and loose without. However, I am a fan of a snugger fit. With that in mind, I found the abdomen area to be larger than the chest, a very American cut.
The loose fit did seem to affect the placement of the armor in both the elbows and shoulders, making them loose as well. There are no adjustments in the arms to correct this either.
Despite fitment, the construction is high quality with what appears to be rugged stitching, zippers, and armor. The liners also appear to be high quality and warm, but they are not something that you would want to take out and put in often. Keep that in mind when thinking of the versatility. You will probably end up just using a warm underlayer when the weather varies a lot in the spring/fall instead of using the insulated layer.
I did return the jacket due to fitment, but for anyone with a larger abdomen or who prefers an American cut in general, I would recommend it.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Contoured fit?

The image looks as though this jacket has a more contoured/Euro fit. Is this actually the case?

Is the abdomen section of this jacket larger/smaller/ or the same size as the chest?

I am just wondering how boxy this jacket is to get an idea of the fit.

Is the phantom black still black? Because comparing it in the pictures makes it look grayish.

Which matches the Scorpion matte black helmet best?
I ordered the phantom, and it appeared to be a fairly deep black. I also ordered black pants at the same time, and I could not really tell the difference. There are, of course, the gray reflective inserts.
