Short gloves, decent ventilation, they look good.
Hey, they're not racing guantlets, they're shortie leather gloves. What do you expect?
A good, basic, short riding glove. They're comfortable and you don't look like a MotoX guy riding around on the street with gloves coming up to your elbows.
Are they going to save your forearms/hands if you eat it? Probably not. But if you're looking into purchasing them, you're not looking for a full-racing style of glove, either.
I picked them up because gloves are required for the MSF course - but I'm keeping them anyway, and plan to ride with them until it's too cold out to do so. And hopefully, I won't need to find out how protective they are!

Picked this helmet up as an entry to full-face helmets, and considering that it's basically an entry-level price-point helmet, I'm definitely happy with the purchase.
For the $ you are spending, you're getting the Pin-Lock that's featured on many more expensive HJC helmets. And They're not kidding when they say that the Pin-Lock shields DON'T fog up. Yet to see mine do so, no matter the weather. Let's see how it does as the temps get cooler....
It's a little noisier than high-end helmets, but let's face it - you're on a motorcycle. Not going to complain about noise.
The only noticeable difference that I felt was the weight, as it was (as expected for an entry-level helmet) a little heavier than the high-end models.
But unless your neck is made out of Slim Jims and bubble gum, not a big deal. It's only noticeable during blind spot checks at speed on the highway, or in a tornado. You get the point.
While my next purchase for a full-face will definitely be something in the next step up of helmets and features, I couldn't be happier with this helmet for the price. I'd absolutely recommend it to someone looking to go full-face, without popping too large a whole in the wallet.
Then again, if you're gonna spend the $, do it protecting the melon....

How is the sizing?
Using the size chart around the palm I get about 9" which places me in medium. I'd really like to double check this as I currently wear XL RST gloves and havn't gone below a Large size. I have fairly long thin fingers, I'm 6'0 tall, and from the tip of my middle finger to the bottom of my wrist where the crease is, it's 8 1/4 inches, if that helps. Thanks.
From the crease of my wrist/palm, to the tip of my middle finger, measures about 9-3/4". I wear an XL. I'm going to assume that a L would be most comfortable for you, as if anything, you'd prefer them to be a little loose, rather than too tight.
