Nicely designed gloves, with suitable fitment. Though I rode in the 40's with my heated grips on and my hands were still cold. I suggest wearing liners in cold temps.

Bell Bullitt Helmet In the late 1960s Bell released the Star, the first full-face helmet, revolutionizing the helmet and motorsport industries and setting a new standard for safety. Since then Motorcycle helmets have taken all sorts of shapes and forms, but at its essence has always been the simple and classic Star. The inherent beauty in the Stars simplicity has made it an effective and aesthetically appealing piece of motorcycle gear that has survived the test of time. To pay homage to the glory days of motorsport, the Bell Bullitt has inherited the classic styling of the Star, but has been infused with contemporary comforts and crash protection. Constructed with a low-profile fiber composite shell and multi-density EPS liner, the Bullitt meets modern DOT regulations yet comes as close as possible to the look and feel of the original Star. Luxurious appointments like a micro-suede lining with leather trim, metal mesh circular intake vents, rear exhaust vent and 3D cut cheek pads with speaker pockets, compliment the vintage styling and shoot the Bullitt into the 21st century. Named after the brash detective, played by iconic actor and motorsport enthusiast Steve McQueen in the cult classic Bullitt, the Bell Bullitt is as much an exercise in design as it is in rider safety, breaking the mold and providing a premium retro option to the market. Put that vintage helmet back on the shelf where it belongs and pick up a Bullitt to fulfill all your retro riding dreams. I really wanted to like this helmet. I chalked the noise level complaints up to people just being picky since it had so many other glowing reviews. Unfortunately, the detractors were right. I now think those people just unboxed the helmet and wrote a review on just aesthetics.
My bike has a windscreen that deflects most of the wind up and over the helmet yet this thing is still jet engine loud mixed with a whistle like someone is constantly blowing a kazoo in your ear. It sucks and I've never experienced a helmet quite like it. I noticed that when I put my hand over the vents on the front, the wind noise is reduced so now I'm going to try putting gorilla tape over the vents of my new $400 helmet. But hey, tape on the helmet is coooool mannnnn and what retro is all about. Also, there is no padding around the cheeks so riding in cold temps freezes your face. It wasn't clear by the pictures shown here that this was the case. The first notch for holding the visor in place is way too high sending wind directly into your eyeballs. I'm wondering if Bell even tested these things before releasing them to market. I doubt it.
I know it says not write about customer service in here but it seems that others have with no success from Revzilla and Bell so I will comment. As one of the largest retailers on the net, I think Revzilla should serve as a better advocate for its customers with the manufacturer. Obviously there is a problem and both seem adamant not to admit it. Maybe with helmets priced $400 and up, have a home try on program with loner helmets (shipping paid for by the customer) similar to what Warby Parker does with glasses. It seems my only course of action is to try and unload this monstrosity in the classifieds section of some motorcycle forums.

I would not recommend this product. I have a 3 inch tear in the pad after about two months of use. Was not washed and it sits in a goretex jacket. Jacket never mistreated.

The helmet is great all around from styling, to comfort, to function, and everything in between. Let's face it, a lot of us buy helmets on impulse because of how they look. I was looking for a modular helmet and this one caught my eye. Matte black finish with the white glow strips so people can see you at night. Very creative by Shark. The matte does scratch, so if you are a helmet priss you may want to look at something else.
Comfort. I have this hooked up with the Sharktooth Bluetooth kit made by Shark. Everything is integrated and the helmet fits nicely even with all the wires and widgets running around my dome. It takes some adjusting when putting on but don't all helmets? Runs a tad small which is probably due to Shark being very Euro-Centric.
Function. Coolest modular helmet I have ever come across. I don't have to wear sunglasses because it has the built in sunshade. When I'm cruising around town I keep that top up to catch a nice breeze around my face. For higher speed runs, the helmet easily flips down and locks into place looking like a traditional full face helmet. The vents work as described. The visor is a cinch to remove. Just make sure you wash it per manufacturer specs since I messed up the finish on mine by using Plexus.
Cliff Notes: If you are considering this helmet and another modular, BUY THIS HELMET!
Yes, I recommend this product.
