I have riding jeans from Icon, Speed & Strength, Dainese and Aerostich. These from Klim are the best I have worn. As you might expect, the Klim jeans were the most expensive. I really like the look, very soft material for being so strong, and they are very comfortable off the bike. The armor is not noticeable and doesn't affect how they feel when walking around. They are a little long but I haven't decided on having them altered since the stacked look on my boots is fine by me. I originally ordered 34" waist since I normally wear 33-34" Levis. These proved to be too large. The return/exchange with Revzilla was about as easy as possible and in short order I had the 32" waist size that fit perfectly. I haven't worn them on hot days but the lining proved to be a plus in 50-70 degree riding. I just returned from a 750 mile trip to a bike show and wore these pretty much the entire trip. This is exactly what I was looking for in a pair of riding jeans. Protection, comfort and style. Worth the money? Sure. Now I have four pairs of jeans in my closet that I would gladly trade for one pair of Klims. As they say "the best riding clothes are the ones you will wear".

Icon El Bajo Boots In Spanish El Bajo means The Short One, but the Icon El Bajo Boots come up far from short when it comes to performance and steez. Based on the design of the Elsinore Boots, the El Bajo have the same Goodyear welt sole and buckles, but in a shorter package for when full size boots just aren't convenient for the mobile masses. Metal post fasteners, heavy top-grain leather chassis, and reinforced toe box and heel make for a serious piece of riding footwear Features: Top grain leather upper Goodyear welt construction Icon cast metal buckles Icon stamped metal heel plate Heat pressed leather shifter panel Heat pressed molded leather shin plate Axialmetric steel shank Medial YKK zippers

I ordered the brown version for protection with style. This boot has both. My problem is that it is too narrow for my foot and it will NOT break in anytime in this century. I don't see how this boot rates anything less than the max on Anthony's stiffness scale. It is deceptive looking, soft and stylish on the outside, ski boot inflexibility on the inside. In order to get the CE rating Icon made it sturdy and that's a good thing. I really wish these boots fit my foot. I like the style and the features but I'm over trying to live through foot pain on rides in hopes a boot will break in. Wore them for about a month on maybe five rides and had more foot pain than I want. No improvement. I have no width problems with the A-stars, Chippewa or Aerostich boots I own. If you have any width issues with your feet, this may not be the boot for you. It wasn't for me.

I bought it as a replacement for my shield that had scratches. It is amazing how much better the view is and how much my eyes tolerated. My only gripe is that Pinlock no longer makes a replacement for the CNS-1. With the new face shield I elected to go without the pinlock rather than put the old one back in.

I replaced my Shoei Neotech with this HJC RPHA and feel it is just as good for $100 or so less. The fit works well with the shape of my head, thanks to the gear geek on the phone who said my Shoei head would fit well in the HJC. I have worn it riding for about 10 hours so far and after initially finding a few tight spots all has worn in to be comfortable. The field of vision is wide and better than my Neotech but I agree with other reviewers that the sunscreen shield is lighter (not as dark) than I'm used to. My eyes seem to have adapted as I don't really notice it now and I live in sunny south Florida where it is bright most of the time. I am concerned about the spring return feature that moves the sunscreen back to the "up" position. It doesn't have a very solid sound and feels flimsy. I'll see how it holds up. Ventilation is about the same as the Neotech but since I have a windshield, any ventilation is very reduced.
Overall I am pleased with this purchase. This helmet fits well, looks good, provides protection and is a good value.

I had to replace my Zumo 220, since Garmin will no longer provide updates on an older model, so I went all out and moved up to the 590. It has many more bells and whistles, most of which I will never use, but mostly I like the larger display and the pictures of signs showing turns off or onto major highways. I used this GPS on a 5,000 mile trip to California. One morning after a previous day of rain the display would only show some type of test pattern. The solution was to remove the cover and disconnect the battery, re-connect it and all was good. A basic re-boot I suppose. Another morning I started to ride without turning the unit on and at a stop light I pushed the power button and nothing happened. Since I was familiar with the route I just let the 590 "rest". After about an hour I pushed the button and it decided to finally come to work. I'm not sure it is worth the high price but the low price Tom-Tom was not Mac compatible….really…it's 2015. I like the unit overall but I don't think this GPS unit should cost what it does.

I own about ten pairs of gloves but these became my glove of choice after one ride. The kangaroo palms are soft and give you great feel for the controls. I was a little concerned about goat and kangaroo for durability but the real glove is much sturdier than they appear in the video. Not big and bulky just a feeling that the quality will last a long, long time. I intend to wear them on long highway tours this summer and even though I have gloves that flow air better, the Rodney flows enough and has gotten the nod to be a starter. Last year I was going to buy this glove but the back order was way too long so I settled for another cheaper pair . I should have waited. They aren't cheap but the quality and workmanship are worth it.

I ordered this boot mainly to wear off the bike. I ride to events, lunch, bike shows, whatever, and then spend hours walking around. I want protection on the bike and if my trip is all day long on the highway, I wear heavier leather footwear but this will be good protection for short trips. The boot is comfortable to walk in and does look good with jeans. I ordered the silver/gray since I was tired of black, black, black everything. I like the lacing system and find them quick to put on and take off. Not much chance to test the waterproof qualities yet but I trust the Gore-Tex name. I found they need a slight breaking-in period like any quality hiking boot. If you're tired of clunking around town in heavy leather boots I recommend you give these a try.

I wanted a sturdy glove for hot weather that offers serious protection. Most of my riding is highway touring which provides plenty of "adventure". The Sambia is advertised as a dual sport glove but I think the features it has are perfect in the event my hand should make asphalt/concrete contact. It flows a decent amount of air and the kangaroo palms have a great feel. Overall good fit, comfortable, style and protection.

This disc lock is a solid piece of hardware (probably weighs 2 lbs), that is great portable security. It doesn't take up much space in my saddle bag. I don't use it often, but on those nights when parked in a hotel lot, it gives me a little extra sense of security. The solid feel of this lock adds confidence that it will take some serious and loud effort to get this off. My only gripe is that the "remove before riding" cable is way too short. I have a H-D Road Glide and the cable is at least a foot too short to make it from my front wheel to the handlebars. I remove it from the lock and simply wrap it around my mirror. Better than having it attached to the lock and laying on the ground.

I have several pairs of kevlar/armored jeans from different manufacturers. Always trying to find the "best" pair. These are becoming my favorites after wearing them for a few weeks now. They look good and aren't baggy. A feature I did not want. I was a little put off by the warning that the dye in the fabric could come off on light color cushions or seats. Watch where you sit in the house. There is a long list of "do not" items on the fabric care label but if it means keeping the kevlar protection at it's peak then I'll comply. I still don't really get the idea that riding jeans shouldn't be washed or cleaned. After a few summer road trips they need to be laundered. The color is dark and not likely to fade much. The lining is a nice touch and the fit makes them perfect both on and off the bike. I remove the armor after riding and am able to walk around without looking like Robocop. I did not give these jeans a 5 star Bang for the Buck simply because of the placement of the knee armor. As other reviewers have noted, the pouch holding the armor is way too big so the D3O will slide around. Anthony mentions this in the video and hopes Icon will fix it in the next release. Me too. I took to needle and thread to fix it but should you have to do this to $200 jeans? The benefits of these jeans greatly outweighs this flaw.
