This disk lock is easy to use. Just put it on your wheel and lock it. It arms by itself. To let you know it's armed, it emits a very loud single beep. I find that to be very annoying. It's good to know it's armed, but the beep should either be quieter, or shorter.
However, once on the bike, it is very sensitive to movement. For new riders starting out, this is a good thing as it will go off if you stand the bike upright. This little "reminder", although embarasing is a good way of letting the rider know to take it off before trying to driving away and damaging your bike.

I narrowed down my choice for a new helmet to this one, and the Shoei RF1100. I decided on the RX-Q because the overall shape was smaller then the RF1100 and the cheek pads were a better fit in the RX-Q. The RF1100 would have required the purchase of a thinner set of cheek pads. I also liked the eyebrow vents on the RX-Q, and the internal lining felt more comfortable to me.
The visor offers a very good field of view, and it can be partially opened to increase air flow for comfort or defogging. With all the vents open, the helmet was fine up to 90 degrees, both in town and on the highway. It comes with a built in chin curtain which pulls down when required.
The interrior lining is fully removable for cleaning, and the cheek pads can be thinned down by removing pre-cut layers of foam from them if required. My head size was between a Med and Lge. I tried both sizes, and went with the Med as it was a snug fit. I didn't need to down size the cheek pads. Although snug, it wasn't uncomfortably tight. After riding for an hour, I didn't have any pressure points or hot spots. I expect the fit to loosen up just a bit as the helmet breaks in.
Altogether I'm happy with the helmet dispite the cost, but you do get what you pay for.

I bought the SAS-TEC back protector to replace the foam backing that came with my Rev'it! Tornado Jacket. This was an obvious upgrade as the foam that came with the jacket had little to no protection value whatsoever. I used the foam as a template as the SAS-TEC needed to be trimmed down a bit on the sides in order for it to fit inside the jacket. Although very sturdy, the SAS-TEC was easy to cut with a sharp knife.
The venting pattern on the back protector has been efficient up to 90 degrees, and with warmer temps around the corner, I'm expecting it to perform just as well. You could cut extra venting ports in it if you wanted to increase air flow. It is a little stiff at first, but once it warms up a bit it easily conforms to the contour of your back. I've worn a backpack over it and it was comfortable.
I haven't had to test this product in a crash, but I'm confident that it will provide me with the best protection out there that I could have upgraded to.
4 for style as it needed to be modified to fit my jacket, and a 4 for air flow as it's good, but could be better with a few extra ports in my opinion.

I'm planning on moving in the next couple of months, so I was wondering if the lock can be easily removed from a wall/floor after it has been installed so I can take it with me, or is it a permanent installation?
