For the price, the Vision-R is an excellent value with many features found only on higher-priced lids. I also give the Vision-R an excellent rating for looks and style, and I get many compliments.
The size large Vision-R fits fits a little looser than expected on my 60.5 cm noggin - which is typically between a large and an X-large. So I recommend trying before you buy. My last helmet was a size large Shoei RF900, which was way too tight out of the box and took several months to feel right. However, at the time the Shoei RF900 X-large was way too big. The size large Vision-R however, felt just right out of the box, definitely looser but not too loose. Hopefully it won't loosen too much over time. Comfort is excellent otherwise. I would say however, that the Shoei was quieter, so I give the Vision-R an average rating for wind noise.
Ventilation I would give an average rating as I can't really feel it except on my face. My biggest nit is that the inner sun visor is non-adjustable. I have about a 1/2" gap to my cheek bones at the bottom, which annoyingly is right in my line of sight to view the dash on my Honda VTR1000F SuperHawk. Also, my glasses tend to fog a lot with this helmet, even on relatively warm days. The air is vented up the inside of the sun shield, blowing hot breath against my glasses with the vents open. I have to use anti-fog liquid on my glasses or better-yet, contact lenses. Vent controls however are excellent and simple to use with gloves.
As mentioned, I give this helmet a good+ rating - I love the color scheme as well as the inner sun shield feature, and I regard it is an excellent value for the price. However, next time I might spring the extra $200 or so and go for a Schuberth.
Yes, I recommend this product.
