Will this system be backwards compatible with the other system from uclear?

Q: We have a set of the HBC100′s and are waiting patiently for the 200′s. What I’d like to know is will they be compatible with each other? Can our passengers use the 100′s to communicate with us or do we need to have 2 sets of the 200′s?
A: Thanks for purchasing the HBC100′s. You will not be able to use the multi-unit function between the HBC100 and HBC200 units. The HBC200 can pair with 5 additional HBC200 units, but the HBC100 can pair with just one other unit.
It is unclear if the above statement answers if it is backwards compatible, it may be, this information states the HBC100 cannot be used to pair into the HBC200 to use multi-hop technology. Looks like we just have to wait a few more weeks until Uclear-Digital receives their FTC approval (this is the roadblock right now).
