Not much more to say, extremely light and waterproof, cut large to fit over armored jackets. I always carry it and I stopped bringing the rain liner to my mesh jacket. Only caveat: haven't been caught in a downpour yet.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Experienced riders know that, for a good tour, the right clothing is just as crucial as technical skill. Dry, comfortable feet help you perform better. The Air conditioning Channel of the REVIT! I have worn cheaper socks and they have worked well but these Revit summer socks seem to have a more solid build and feel great. As to breathability, etc., stick your foot into a gore-tex lined summer boot and you'll sweat, no matter what, but the combo of a good boot and good socks helps to stay relatively comfortable through a long summer's ride. I'm still wearing these as of end of October 2013 with rides in the 40s and 50s and I'm comfortable.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Arai Defiant Base Helmet Designed specifically for the aesthetics and needs of street fighter and naked bike rider in mind, the new Arai Defiant Base is equally aggressive and feature rich, as one would expect from a new Arai helmet. Based on the fit and comfort of the Quantum, the Defiant was built for the upright riding position with its aggressive, integrated chin spoiler, which was designed specifically to guide wind around the neck and to improve the aerodynamic properties of the helmet. The Hyper Ridge Bumper circles the bottom of the shell both adding additional strength and also lowering the helmet's center of gravity, while flaring the helmet opening slightly to increase the ease of putting on, and taking off. The Arai Defiant utilizes Arai's latest faceshield design, the SAI Max Vision Pinlock Shield with Brow Vents and includes Pinlock insert lens. The SAI Max Vision shield has been widened by 5mm left and right and offers one of the widest eyeports available for excellent peripheral vision. Features Aggressive new styling Internals are redesigned with a focus on safety and comfort Organic shell shape for superb energy management New IC-4 Upper Intake vents seal more completely when closed New ACR-4 flow thru exhaust vent allows greater air flow when open and reduces drag when closed FCS R (Facial Contour Support) cheek pad design has 5mm peel away micro fit layer for greater personal fit Cheek pads feature contoured shape, multiple density foam layer supported by a patented spring New shell shape is easier to put on and take off New water repellent material along bottom edge Pull down spoiler works with new flared bottom to increase helmet stability SAI Max Vision Brow Vent Pinlock anti-fog lens insert included DOT and Snell 2010 certified

Vector 2 used to pinch my ears on long rides, so I went for this new Defender, which I was told is slightly rounder. It worked. I just returned from a 1400 mile jaunt. Love the feel of the helmet, the new features, new ventilation system works well. Maybe a little noisier than the vector 2 and the field of vision for some reason does not seem as good to the sides as the Vector, but they use the same face shield so maybe it's my imagination. Ventilation was great, but days were not too hot so can't say more than that. Also not fair to comment on protection/durability because I have no idea beyond Arai's great reputation.
Yes, I recommend this product.

If you like leather, which I do, then you've got to give these serious consideration. Buy one size too large unless you like to struggle pulling gloves on and off.
Have no idea about their protection but happy to have the hardened knuckles which are not too obtrusive -- I'm not racing but do like to ride hard on my R1200GS. Extra padding on palm heel seems adequate and the glove are limber enough to be comfortable on long rides--just did a one-day 500 mile ride and they were just fine.
One irritation which I fixed with a nail file--the attachment point on one glove for the velcro tab was raised a bit much so it dug into my wrist.
Rode with TourMaster fabric air gloves previously--more airy but less protective.
Yes, I recommend this product.

The boot starts out a little stiff for walking, but then again, they weren't made for walking. The fit around the thigh is very loose even though there are multiple velcro adjustment grips up the side of the boot. So the boot is not big in actual foot size but above the ankle. Heavier riders will appreciate the extra room--I am not one of them unfortunately so I make sure my socks are high to stay comfortable.
I wear these in the nasty humidity of Northeast US summers and they are never unbearable. I've worn them in 34 degrees with two pairs of socks (my summer riding socks plus a pair of smart wools over them) and I've been very comfortable.
Boots are attractive, comfortable, and I feel like I'm protected in all the right places. They are expensive and the Revzilla video does say that there are other boots as good as this that are cheaper. Wonder which those are?
Highly recommended.

Still haven't broken these in after wearing them for two months, stiffness is fine on the bike, but I couldn't hike up a trail in them because of their stiffness. Not too hot in summer, fits true to size, velcro adjustable at top to either tuck pants in or leave out. Sturdy, great looking, and overall quite comfortable.

Prefer the RevIt Cool Sox over these Alpine Stars, I found the elastic to bind very hard on my legs leaving serious indentations in my skin, and I have skinny legs. Painful for a full day's use, probably fine for less that touring type day and they do have good air flow. Priced same as many other socks, so good value. Just not for touring.
