 Bell RS-1 Steam Punk Helmet
Bell RS-1 Steam Punk Helmet
Bell RS-1 Steam Punk Helmet The Bell RS-1 Steam Punk Helmet has some amazing graphics. Gears and pipes in shades of copper and bronze are rendered in amazing detail and visible through windows scattered across the helmet's surface. These graphics don't scream notice me but they certainly invite the eye to linger once revealed. Bridging the gap between the Star and the Vortex, the all-new Bell RS-1 is an amazing blend of mid-line price and high-end performance. Bell engineers have taken many of the best functionalities of the Star and packed them into the RS-1. The Bell RS-1 is the perfect choice for the sport rider who is a tad aggressive and likes days at the track. All told, its one great helmet at a modest price. Features Snell M2010 Certification MagnaFusion Strap Keeper Five-year Warranty Velocity Flow Ventilation Super Stable Aerodynamic Signature 3Mode Shield - Lock, Ratchet, Crack ClickRelease Shield Mechanism NutraFog II Anti Fog Coating Kevlar/Fiberglass Shell Contour Cut Cheekpads Removable/Washable Liner Agion (R) Antibacterial Liner Helmet comes with clear face shield

I have been shopping for the perfect helmet for a while. I had a very specific list of features that I wanted covered. I am a new rider, and I am very concerned about safety, so I wanted more than just a DOT approved helmet. The Snell M2010 Certification works for me! Also, as a female rider, I didn't want something that was too masculine, but I didn't want butterflies and pink glitter either (there's more pink junk for women riders than any other sport!!! but I digress...) so the Steampunk design is absolutely the coolest thing since sliced bread in my opinion. The helmet fits beautifully, suede-like interior, the pads conformed to my face after one short ride, and it is light enough to not give me a neck ache. The included clear shield is so clear that I had to check to see if I put it down. The airflow is awesome. Even though there are not ports on the sides for eyeglasses, there is still plenty of room for us 4-eyes. :) Oh and the magnetic catch on the strap is sweet. All in all this is the best helmet that I have tried on/used... and I wasn't looking at cheap helmets either, I mean really... how much is your head worth?

Bell RS-1 Gearhead Helmets The Bell RS-1 Gearhead Helmet comes in either a red/black or black/white color scheme. Regardless of the color you choose, the graphic on this lid has depth and detail and a high level of reflectivity. Part of the Bell RS-1 Helmet line, the Gearhead bridges the gap between the top-of-the-line Bell Star and the value-minded Vortex with an amazing blend of mid-line price and high-end performance. The shell is a lightweight Kevlar/fiberglass composite making this helmet lighter than both the Star and the Vortex. The fit is a race fit, so more snug but still very comfortable due to the Contour Cut Cheekpads and a plush, removable, washable liner. Packed with features, its one great helmet at a modest price. Features Contour Cut Cheekpads Integrated speaker pockets for audio speakers Removable/Washable Liner Agion (R) Antibacterial Liner MagnaFusion Strap Keeper Snell M2010 Certification Velocity Flow Ventilation Super Stable Aerodynamic Signature 3Mode Shield - Lock, Ratchet, Crack ClickRelease Shield Mechanism NutraFog II Anti Fog Coating Kevlar/Fiberglass Shell Comes with clear face shield only Five-year Warranty

Has Bell resolved the leaking seal between the helmet and the faceshield?

I have read that the Bell RS-1 seal around the eye port does not completely seal the gap between the faceshield and the helmet allowing water to leak inside the helmet, has Bell fixed this issue?
I just rode in a surprise rain storm yesterday with my brand-spankin-new RS-1 and I had no issues with water inside the helmet... Not so much with the jeans I was wearing though... lol
