Obviously not up to the spec of several hundred dollar race boots or MX/SuMo gear but they ARE rugged, bulky style boots with good protection for knocking around on the weekend.
Yes they're chunky - the toe box is big! Yes they're clunky - walking is less than graceful.
But they're just what I wanted. They chunkiness doesn't bother me on my bike (KTM Duke 690) and I don't go out riding to walk around!
Fit is just about right - I'm a US12 in most shoes and these are about spot on ... I feel they fit a little smaller than the Chukka's do - I have 12's in them too and they feel a little looser. I could squeeze into the Boots with winter socks if I wanted but there's not much point with vented boots! The venting works nicely too - you can feel the breeze starting around 50kph (30mph).
I'm not a fan of the Peter Pan-looking all-leather boots, I think full-on sports bike boots look silly under jeans and I'd feel like a poser in MX boots ... these fit my style.
Shame they don't make them any more ... grab 'em while you can!
