I'm a cold toes/fingers type and decided on these Alpinestars after researching thoroughly on Revzilla. They fit true to size and my toes have yet to feel cold on my morning rides in Northern California (40 minute commute, lowest temp 30 degrees so far). I love the over-the-calf support, so no sagging and my feet stay comfortable but not what I would call toasty. I've worn these with my Hi-Tec over the ankle street shoes as well as a new pair of Alpinestars CR-4 Gore-Tex XCR Boot (also from Revzilla) and they kept my feet comfy in both. No regrets.

While it's NOT a dark tint, the gradient helps when riding in low sun (morning/evening). I prefer this over having to swap between a tinted shield for day use and a clear for night.
