Great boots, fit well, comfortable, no pointy toes. Road in 100 degree weather in Ramona/Julian/Anza Borrego feels pretty warm but not too unpleasant. Buckles feel very secure. Not too bad to walk in after a bit. Overall Great!

Got the XL short, almost perfect size for a 5'8" 220 lb guy with a 28" inseam. Tight in the thighs though, almost totally blocks the vents unless I'm standing. Otherwise great, 3 pants in one!

Klim makes high end adventure pants and jackets. I can't afford their stuff, but I've read great testimonials about their new D30 armor. How comfortable it is, how protective it feels. When I wanted to upgrade the back protector on my speed and strength trial by fire jacket to something CE rated I saw this and thought "this has got to be a mistake." The high end protector is one of the cheapest available. Immediately bought it, installed it. Nicely ventilated, very happy.
Only con is it smells funny when you pull it out of the giant ziploc bag :)

What Size?
There seems to be no real clear chart on sizing for these. I have a 34 waist and about a 34 inseam. Would I go with a large? Also, would these pants work good as overpants, or are they meant to wear as pants alone?
I have 36 waist and XL is a bit tight. Definitely not over pants, especially if you plan on putting in the liners.

Are the knee pads adjustable? Are you able to put these pants on over boots or are the leg zippers too short?
knee pads somewhat adjustable (velcro'ed pockets). Leg zippers are about 6 inches long.
