I love these shoes.
I've been looking for something you can wear for everyday commuting that offers some sort of protection and doesn't make you look like a star trooper.
They run a little large and the size homologation is messed up, if you know your European size number go with that, the US sizes are way off. This is not a Revzilla issue, it comes from the manufacturer.
They are very comfy and hold your ankle and foot in place, they don't let it move around and offer limited flexibility which will avoid straining your ankle in a fall.
I had a little parking lot snafu over the weekend and found my foot stuck between the bike and the hard slick floor, had I been wearing regular tennis shoes instead of these the bike would have at the least teared some skin off my ankle area if not worse.
The ankle protection pads and tough heel and toe and the very snug fit make you feel your feet are protected as opposed to going around town in regular tennis shoes.
The only slight disadvantages they have are based on the fact that these are fully waterproof, the are truly waterproof (after two hours of riding in heavy rain my socks were dry and my feet were warm). The problem is that, in order to make them so good at keeping water away they get a bit warm when in heavy traffic and getting them on and off is a bit of a hassle (one seems to forget they are NOT regular shoes), don't expect them to come off as easy as buckle boots.
In general I am extremely happy with the product, they have a very high quality build and look amazing, they have great quality leather and the sole material grips great when wet.
If you're looking for an everyday shoe with some protection look no further, these are great!
I just hope Revzilla could order them in more colors....I want another pair.
