If you've ridden at <50F without neck protection, you know how cold it gets. This scarf alleviates that freezing neck wind which really helps keep your core temp up. It's soft, comfortable, and looks great. I'm pretty impressed with it. I've worn it for four rides, two in the high to mid forties and two in the high thirties, and I could definitely stay out longer before I started to get really cold.
Yes, I recommend this product.

First off, this jacket looks amazing. I am constantly getting compliments on it, enough that I've even considered taking the armor out and just wearing it around town. And because of the finish on the leather, it is going to age beautifully and have a rich, heritage patina after a year or two.
Protection is top notch, with armor in the shoulders, elbows and down the forearms, and a pocket for a back armor insert. The leather the jacket is made from is thick and durable. Initially, the jacket is a little stiff, but at about 500 miles of riding into owning it it is starting to really break in and it is very comfortable. I am 6', 190 lbs with broad shoulders and a small waist, and the size 52 fits me wonderfully.
The only downside of the jacket is the price. For this much money, you could get a great jacket from a different brand to match your current bike, and then another to match your next. But with looks this good, I am happy to say I think I'll be wearing this jacket until I die or it is destroyed stopping me from dying.

I bought this back protector with my new Dainese R-Twin Jacket, size 52. It fits perfectly into the pocket on the back, though it took a little wiggly to get it in. But that wiggling meant that now that it is in, it is held in place very well.
The protector has great airflow and is surprisingly comfortable. Definitely recommend.

What are the dimensions of this back protector? It looks larger than the wave g back protector insert, will it fit in the avro jacket insert pocket?

I just measured mine, and it is 10 1/4" at its widest point, and 18 3/4" tall.

What are the best pants to go with this jacket?

I love the brown color, but I'm having a hard time envisioning what Dainese was planning for this jacket. Is it just the new kevlar jeans?
Out of their 2012 line, I would say that yes, the kevlar jeans are probably the best fit with this jacket as far as pants go. But the item from their 2012 line that most matches with this jacket is the new cafe boots.
