Having had a number of jackets in this catagory, IMHO, this is the best summer mesh jacket you can buy. Also, having owned a previous generation Airwave, the upgrades and tweaks made to the jackets add up to a significant difference in style, primarily, and in airflow and comfort.
When you first pick up this jacket, as well as look at it, you think, this is heavy for a hot weather jacket. It has real structure and great materials in the impact areas. There are lighter jackets in terms of weight. Then, twist the throttle. The air flow is amazing. Rev'it has pulled off the trick of giving us a real, highly protective riding jacket, that's about as cool as it gets.
Speaking of cool, the style on the new one is really nice. I went for the Hi Viz, which, again IMHO, is the best looking. Photos don't do it justice. The reserved use of the Hi Viz is very nice and it looks fantastic with the mix of greys, from light, to a teal grey. The whole thing reminds one of the Seattle Seahawks color scheme. Very sharp and classy.
Fit. for reference, I am 153lbs. 29 waist, 40 chest. I went all the way down to a small, as I like my stuff to be fitted. Fits great. Slightly snug in the arms and that's it. It is cut, as Anthony says, a bit more "American," so fuller then Dianese, for example. For me, the small size feels like it was made for me.
I can't say enough about this jacket. And, at $200, for the quality of the materials and perfect function, it's a no-brainer.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I read a number of the previous reviews and I'm not sure we're wearing the same jacket!
The fit here is very good, particularly if you're slim to athletic in build. For reference, I'm 152lbs, 29in waist, 40 chest. The Italian cut is great if you're that sort of body.
The forearms are cut quite slim. I have very little room around my wrists and the sleeves are a bit snug around the forearms. Great for the look, less good for air flow.
Speaking of airflow. Perhaps my tolerance is alot less then these other reviews, but, compared to other summer mesh jackets I've owned, there is, markedly, less air flow in this jacket. It's not bad, but since this is the entire reason for this jacket to exist, I have trouble recommending it. Although lots of compliments so that's good, I suppose. Personally, for me, I would sacrifice a bit of fashion to not bake on the bike!
No, I do not recommend this product.

Icon D30 Replacement Elbow Pads An advanced, patented polymer, CE-rated D3O impact protectors are the latest advancement in protective armor. D3O impact protectors utilize intelligent molecules that lock together on impact. Because of this, the impact protector can be made thinner and lighter, making a jacket more comfortable and easier to wear. However, this decreased size does not come at the expense of impact protection. Will fit any ICON Jacket that was originally equipped with ICON Field Armor Elbow Pads. Sold as a pair.

Great elbow protection. D30 is the top, in terms of combining protection with the lowest possible profile. I have them in the Roland Sands Ronin and you can't tell they're there.
Also, due to the nature of the D30, they mold very nicely, unlike armor of old.
In short, a no-brainer.

I bought this boot looking for a cool look off the bike that I could wear to work, and give me good riding protection. Beware, the photos you'll see here and, especially on Alpinestars' website, do not look like what you're actually going to get. The photos show a grainier, weathered sort of look that brings out the style of the boot. The boot is actual very typical all black, muting the style details and giving you, in essence, a very average riding boot. As a pure riding boot, you can do better. As a style option, you can do better. Meh.

I give this glove a five because it does what it sets out to do beautifully. As Anthony says, this is not a high protection/performance glove. I love it for riding around the city, particularly if I'm riding to an event where I need style off the bike. Very well thought out. Love the red panel under the zipper. Great pre-curve which means, along with the supple leather, there's no break-in period. Extremely comfortable and very cool. Makes me want to go buy a Thruxton or a V7 just to match the darn gloves! Probably have to settle for the Ronin jacket. ! Terrific product.

Icon 1000 El Bajo Boots El Bajo - literally translated it means The Short One. Short perhaps in overall height, but never in performance or steez. Built on the same Goodyear welt bottom unit as its five-buckle Elsinore brother, El Bajo provides all the OG moto-presence but in a reduced two-buckle silhouette. Metal post fasteners, heavy top-grain leather chassis, and reinforced toe box and heel make for a serious piece of riding footwear. The Icon One Thousand El Bajo - always up to the challenge. Awesome. You have to dig the Icon aesthetic, which I do. I, personally, feel these look alot better in the brown. The details pop more and the whole thing looks less "leather bar," which the Icon stuff gets close to in some iterations. As Anthony says, they are really stiff. They do work in, to an extent, and are very comfortable in a "work boot" way. People mention shifting being an issue, but these are mostly less experienced riders. Shifting may take some getting used to, but very quick adaptation and it's not an issue. I get tons of compliments and haven't taken them off since I bought them. They run big. I went down a full size from my usual. Seems like they'll last forever. Fantastic job, Icon!

These are my favorite gloves. Oh, and I have alot of gloves. The quality of the leather, the fit, the shaping on the bias, are all superb. The fastening is perfect. The fingertip grips are great. This glove flows more air, ironically, then the also-great Airvolution glove, which I also own. Great "go-to" glove for everything but cold weather. Buy them and enjoy.

I really like these gloves...alot. The Icon style is very cool. Really dig their split knuckle idea. Great example of form and function working together. Extremely comfortable gloves. The leather on the underside is very thin and gives a bit of grip on the levers. The main event is the mesh. Flows air extremely well. Fantastic summer gloves. Beware, however. The mesh is very easier pilled/torn by the velcro. Be very careful. As a result of this, I wonder how long the gloves will last. That keeps it from getting 5 stars. Otherwise, terrific and cool.

Really like the look of this glove and most everything Icon does. They have a great aesthetic. Also, the touchscreen technology really works, works well and is very useful.
However...
The cut of these gloves are bizarre, unless you have unusually long thumbs! Very puzzling. Also, the inside of these gloves feel cheap, uncomfortable and faulty. There is a scratchy material lining the inside of the glove that has not worn in. Also, there are two fingers with some sort of ball at the end that hits your fingers and is, also, very uncomfortable.
Unfortunately, Icon's production quality is not up to par with its design talent.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I'm one of those who has to have style with my functional gear. I really like Icon's aesthetic point of view, and am very interested in the D30 armor.
On the good side, I really like the style idea here, although it's a bit borderline "Christopher Street." The execution of the idea, however, is just not good enough.
The fit of these, and other Icon gloves, is puzzling. I had to go way down to a small to get the glove to not be oversized in the the width of the fingers, but the small is a tad too small. If you buy, be very clear about sizing.
The stitching is sloppy.
I went for the grey, but beware. The actual color is not well represented in the photo. There is alot more blue in the gray which leaves you with an odd color that doesn't really match...anything.
My two cents, Icon should take another shot at this one. Great idea, though.
