This is a great product that allows you to maintain the clear shield for night riding while still offering a tinted shield for day driving. Although the tinted shield does not cover the entire area, I have found that it does an excellent job of providing tint where you need it for driving and I am able to read my speedo/tach through the clear portion of the shield. This shield set offers excellent visibility and great optics.
One thing to note is this product (or at least the 2 I purchased) did not come with installation instructions so it took a little guess work to figure out how to install it properly. You can use the existing shield ratchets even though the kit comes with new ones...just make sure to remove the plastic screw in the center of the circular mounting hole (this is replaced with the new bolt that holds both shields in place.

I did a lot of research before choosing a helmet, I had several criteria that I was looking for including good air flow (I have a sweaty head) and an exceptional field of view (hate feeling boxed in within a helmet). This helmet meets all of those requirements and then some. The lighted LED panel on the back is a great plus if you are worried about visibility at night and comes with both red and smoke lenses for the LED. The addition of the Clear & Tinted face shield is very nice. The optical clarity of the face shield is exceptional and withstands a pretty good pelting of bugs (I live in a semi-rural area and drive along country roads to and from work).
The one thing I really wish GMax would include the dual lens Clear/Tint shield with the helmet instead of an additional $20+ for the upgrade; however, given the quality and price I am not complaining too loudly.
Noise - yes if you have all the vents open and catch the wind just right there is a slight whistle from the air vents, this is not a huge issue but not the silence of some helmets. I have also noted that the lower front air vents do not have a way to close them so on a cooler morning it can get a bit chilly inside the face shield. The face shield does tend to fog a bit on cooler days until you get moving, then plenty of fresh air is forced across it via the front (can't be closed) air holes.

Anti-Fog?
Is the clear facesheld that comes with this kit come with some sort of anti-fogging coating/properties?
The single lens shield does not have any anti-fog coating; however, GMax does offer a double lens version that is designed to reduce or eliminate fogging issues. I have the single lens version and will get foggy when coming to a stop on a cool/chilly morning...this clears rapidly as you get some air flow across it from the front vents.
