Bell Custom 500 Roland Sands Design Freedom Machine Helmet The custom paint-inspired graphics on this Roland Sands Freedom Machine Helmet is one of our favorites from the Bell Custom 500 Helmets line. The gold/orange/copper highlights of the design pin stripes are really distinctive and add flair to the black reflective background and the Freedom Machine graphic on the sides. The retro Roland Sands logo on the front is also in keeping with the nod these helmets are throwing towards Roy Richter who first formed this helmet design back in 1954. The shape of the helmet is an original design but the technology is updated to a custom fiberglass layup with a specially designed EPS foam layer that is DOT- compliant. Riders will also appreciate the weight and profile of this hybrid of classic style and modern technology.
