The felt holding the magnet comes off if you don't glue it down
This is my first helmet so I don't have any comparison but I love it. I bought the Matte Black with the Dark Smoke shield (it comes with clear). It looks awesome! Totally worth the extra $40. I have some friends with $400 helmets that are jealous. I live in Oklahoma but so far I have found the airflow plenty to keep me comfortable. It is loud at highway speeds but keeping the shield down does block out some of that noise. The quick release is just as easy as the video makes it seem, switching between shields takes me 15 seconds.
**Be aware! I got the feeling they are having a problem with the chin strap magnetic latch. I liked mine a lot but after just two weeks the fabric holding the magnet in place fell apart. Revzilla was awesome and sent me a kit right away to fix it (free of charge!) but the "kit" looked official enough that I suspect its a known issue. I totally recommend you buy the helmet but when you do rip off the felt holding the magnet and re-glue it with loctite or something strong. Just be sure you get the magnetic polarity right. Minus one star for durability...
Buy this helmet! You won't regret it! I bought a large and it was pretty tight for the first week but now it fits just right. Some reviewers complain about weight but if you compare it 1600g is pretty average in this price range.

I've been reading the reviews and almost everyone mentions the sides being a bit tight at first. I wear glasses and was wondering if that would be a problem with the first few wears.
Thanks.
Unless you cut out padding I don't expect glasses would work well with the Vortex. I have to wear my contacts but I have relatively wide frames. Someone with slender frames might be able to squeeze in.

Hi, I got an Icon alliance ssr from you guys, size large, will they fit the same? shape wise and sizing wise. thanks
I'm a large and I have tried on the Icon Alliance Rat helmet and this one fits similar in overall size but its less round. On me the Icon squeezed a little more front to back while this one will squeeze just a little more side to side. I prefer the fit of the Vortex over the Icon but size will be the same.
