Dainese Carbon Gore-Tex X-TRAFIT Gloves The Dainese Carbon GORE-TEX X-TRAFIT gloves have been specifically designed for sports-like, adventurous riders looking for waterproof gloves that keep them warm and dry whatever the weather conditions. These gloves offer unparalleled feel on the grips thanks to the use of a waterproof, breathable GORETEX membrane featuring XTRAFIT technology, which means the membrane is attached directly to the outer surface of the gloves, thus preventing any potential sliding in the palm when the hand is rotated. The gloves are finished in cow hide and goatskin which provide excellent abrasion resistance and supple softness. The excellent protection is further ensured by reinforced palms, carbon fiber inserts over the knuckles, polyurethane inserts on the finger joints, the use of a Distortion Control system for the little fingers and soft inserts. This exceptional glove is rounded off with elasticized inserts at key points to ensure comfort in any riding position. Protection Composite inserts in carbon fiber on knuckles Polyurethane inserts on the joints of the fingers TPU inserts on side of little finger Distortion Control on little finger Polyurethane insert on the palm Gloves certified to CE Category II - Pr-EN 13594/2010 Standard lev. 1 Main Materials Cowhide leather Palm in goatskin Reinforced palm with Digital Suede and Amica Suede Ergonomics and Comfort Tightening strap Adjustable cuff strap Microelastic elasticated inserts Elasticated inserts Pre-curved fingers Breathable waterproof GORE-TEX membrane with X-TRAFIT product technology Soft inserts Cover on the tightening strap Denoted as Dainese Carbon Gore-Tex X-Trafit in Dainese catalog

Are these gloves expensive? Yes. Are the worth it? H*ll yes. It's real simple: these gloves do a great job insulating your hands from the elements without significantly compromising feel and control; they also offer full protection if you should go down, and look really good. As someone who rides all year round, at least until the Mercury drops below 20 F, these gloves have been a great investment. This is now my second winter riding with them (without heated grips!) and I couldn't be happier. I know that I could opt for electric gloves, but I really don't need to, and besides, they keep me comfy when off the bike as well.

Sidi Canyon Gore-Tex Boots Features Top grain leather construction Contrasting texture upper Equipped with a GORE-TEX waterproof-breathable membrane VELCRO brand closures closure system above the ankle Micro adjustable strap system below the ankle Full length inner gaiter Rigid nylon innersole Removable arch support Internal heel protection Internal ankle protection Internal toe protection Leather toe shift-brake pad Nylon plate and internally padded shin plate Double stitched in all high stress areas Reflective panels Bonded non-slip lug type sole Non-Bootie Designs Sidi boots do not incorporate inner booties into their design, and for good reason. Booties make the design larger and cumbersome add to the boots thickness, which interferes with shifting, plus the inner booties retain body heat affecting the riders performance and comfort. Gore-Tex Striving for peak performance Whether its a day on a wet track, a long distance tour through all types of conditions, or simply pursuing your everyday adventures, Sidi GORE-TEX lined boots will help you get there. Designed to provide comfort and protection, Sidi GORE-TEX boots keep your feet dry, even when you encounter snow, or rain. Each Sidi GORE-TEX boot is totally waterproof to keep moisture from penetrating inside, yet incredibly breathable to allow sweat to escape. This high breathability is critical to your comfort because, simply put, sweaty feet are uncomfortable feet. Inside waterproof boots that are not breathable, moisture builds up and has nowhere to go. It then remains trapped against your skin, leaving your feet clammy, uncomfortable, and more prone to develop blisters. This can be even more of a problem in high aerobic activities because the more active you are, the more your feet sweat were talking up to one full cup of water a day! Sidis GORE-TEX lined boots is specifically designed to provide comfort and protection on a hard ride or for longer rides when the weather is warmer. The patented GORE-TEX membrane is where it all starts. Nestled between the boots outer top grain leather and the inner liner, this membrane keeps water out while letting your perspiration vapor escape. As part of Sidis waterproof guarantee, EVERY boot produced is tested for waterproofness and breathability. And, to make sure the whole boot breathes the way it should, all leather and other textile materials used to construct Sidi GORE-TEX boots are tested for breathability as well. So go on take that extra step. Take it in total comfort because youre wearing Sidi GORE-TEX boots!

Overall I'm really happy with these boots, although I've only been wearing them for a month so far. When I've had them on, they've been on my feet all day long. They've been quite comfortable, although the expandable leather flap behind the Velcro closure does rub slightly--nothing major, but I am aware of it when I walk or shift gears. Also, the ratchet adjustment on these boots could both tighten things up more as well as release tension for removal more easily. None of these complaints are anything serious in my mind, just a few details which keep these very good boots from being amazing boots. I have no real second thoughts about buying them.

I've got half a dozen pairs of these and love how they feel in the summer. High enough to go past the biggest part of my calf, so they don't creep down below the top of my boots. While not a great choice for when it gets cold outside, in the warmer months, these stay comfy. Last, I've been using these for a couple of years now and they don't seem to wear out--pretty amazing.

This is the third Spectra Shield I've bought in two years. The first one lasted an entire season. The second, about two weeks before getting a nice scratch across the center--don't ask me how, it just sort of magically appeared.
I guess what's important is why I bought yet one more of these ridiculously expensive shields. First, well they look so amazingly cool on my helmet. Second although my version looks like a blue mirror on the outside, on the inside everything is filtered to a slightly dimmed yellow, which is absolutely fantastic when it's bright outside. Last, even at night, the reduction in brightness isn't so great that you can't ride with the visor down, as with some tinted visors.
Still, it is really easy to scratch the reflective tinted coating, so either be very careful with it or know what the next winning lottery number will be.

I'm now on my 21/2 set of Avon Storm II's (the 1/2 is because I snagged a nail about 200 miles into a set, which Avon replaced for me, due to their road hazzard warranty#. A really great all-around tire. It takes curves very well and delivers exceptional feedback for a tire designed for sport-touring. Yes, you can break the rear tire loose in the wet, if you push it hard, but ease off the throttle a touch and everything always comes back under control. In the snow #yes I ride in the snow) the center tread groving gives doable traction; something my previous Metzler Z6's never gave me. Overall, these tires give me all that I can ask for on the street.
For a frame of reference, I ride a modified 2005 Yamaha FJR 1300 with Wilburs rear shock and front springs, Galfer wave rotors with ceramic pads, and a very heavily modded/dynotuned engine. I actually do hang way off the seat going around corners on that big beast--the Avons have never let me down.

I bought a pair of these last fall, just to give them a try--I was tired of the occaisional chaffing at the very top of my harness boots which I wear in the winter. These socks were great. Exceeded all expectations. Super comfy, with the elastic top band coming just below the knee. Warm, but not so much to make my feet all sweaty. These under Kevlar jeans and I don't really need thermal underwear, except in the very coldest of winter days. Oh, and that single pair I bought over a year ago? Well, I still have them, but I now have half a dozen other pairs so that I can wear these every day of the week. I was a bit hesitant to spend $20 on a single pair of socks, but now I think that they were a bargain at that price.

SAS-TEC Back Protector Cutting edge SAS-TEC material is intelligent armor constructed from visco elastic soft foam smart molecules. It has earned the highest CE rating available (CE level 2), during an impact, the armor freezes and hardens, absorbing the shock and distributing its force over a large area to reduce the risk of fractures. The protector is not destroyed by impact, but reverts back to its original state and maintains its capability to protect from multiple impacts. SAS-TEC Armor has a soft and pliable exterior (as opposed to rigid KNOX armor) which offers a great deal of comfort and mobility. This protector is anatomically designed and fitted to provide superior spine and back protection as well as the base of the neck /between the shoulder blades. SC-1/11 fits Women's Turbine Jacket SC-1/12 fits REV'IT! I bought this instead of the CE protector for my Joe Rocket jacket, as it looked like it would provide even better protection on impact than the factory J.R. product (and was quite a bit cheaper). With a little very easy trimming it fit the back protector pouch in the J. R. jacket, and is quite comfy. Hopefully I won't have to find out too soon how well it works!

I've been riding with these gloves in the late fall around Philadelphia for about a month now, and have been overall quite pleased with these gloves. Like all Held gloves, you pay a premium price for a premium product. They're a bit tight around my (quite large) fingers--especially at first--but eventually have broken in to give a good, solid, close-but-comfy grip. They've been warm enough to keep my hands OK on the expressways around 40-50 degrees, but I can tell that they'll be a bit too cool when it drops into the 20's-30's, as i don't have heated grips. For those really cold temps I have some Olympia's which aren't nearly as protective (my guess is that they were designed for snowmobiling), but then again, I typically don't go on log highway rides at below freezing temps. So for my late fall/winter/early spring needs, these Helds seem to fit my needs quite nicely.

OK, first, I have a "Shoei head"--they fit my head shape. I've used them for years. I have a perfectly good X-11, but my AMAZING WIFE bought me the Blue Kagayama 3 X-12 for our anniversary--it matches my FJR1300. Anyhow, I was surprised that I could feel the difference between the X-12 and the X-11. The crown just fits my head more "precisely" than did the X-11. The biggest difference, though is in the visor mechanism. It just snaps into place tighter and the movement detents seem ever so much more refined. I know that's a little thing, but this helmet just exudes precise engineering. As with the X-11, it is feather light, flows really well and is really quiet. It feels a little more aerodynamic too, above 100mph, but the X-11 was no slouch in that department. Overall, I'd say that the X-12 is a nice, subtle, evolutionary step towards building the ultimate motorcycle helmet. One last thing: I don't think a day goes by that I don't get a "nice helmet" from strangers I pass.
Yes, I recommend this product.

I bought this jacket as an alternative to wearing a heavier leather jacket and a rainsuit when commuting (4-5 city miles) on rainy fall and winter days. I tried it out on a cool 45 degree afternoon with just a T-shirt on underneath. In around town riding I was quite comfortable-no chill. I've ridden in the rain a few times now and have been totally dry, although I haven't been riding in any real downpours yet. Fit is hugely adjustable due to the waist cinch straps, but just as with my othe Joe Rocket jackets, I ordered one size larger than with most other brands. The cut isn't quite as fitted as with my other waist-length jackets, but I bought this for the winter months anyhow. Still, for a slightly longer cut, it doesn't look dorky, like some longer cut coats can look (IMHO). So I have a good looking, strong performing, bad weather jacket to carry me through the colder months, AND I didn't have to pay an arm and a leg for it--WOO HOO!
