2007 R1200GS
I just finished a 10 day trip from VA to Utah then back to VA. Most of the trip was on pavement. Before I left I put a new Karoo3 on the rear.
The tire actually handled very well. I was impressed with the wet and dry performance on pavement. It was a fairly quiet tire at highway speeds. Off road the tire had excellent grip straight up but lacked traction on uneven terrain.
What I disliked the most about the tire was the wear. By the time I returned home the tread was almost gone at 5K miles. I was so concerned about making it back to VA I bought a new tire in St. Louis just in case.
I replaced the 50/50 tire I had on the bike to the Karoo3 thinking its 70/30 rating would give it better longevity on pavement. Even at constants speeds around 70 mph on pavement the tire just wore out.
Because of the price of the tire and how long it lasted I would not recommend or buy another Karoo3 tire.

Michelin Anakee 2 Adventure Touring / Dual Sport Front Tires New competition-derived rubber mix in the most popular sizes delivers at least 29 greater tread life than its two nearest competitors in the adventure touring segment Same remarkable wet traction as the original Anakee tires Lateral rigidity and stability thanks to reinforced casing Radial tire for large adventure touring bikes Large tread blocks for on-road stability Designed specifically for adventure bikes like BMW GS and Suzuki V-Strom Radial design Versatile tread with deep channels for water evacuation Compared with Bridgestone Trail Wing and Metzeler Tourance EXP. The Michelin Anakee 2 does it all for the 80% road - 20% off road tire that it is. It sticks to the pavement extremely well in both dry and wet conditions. The front tire tracks very well and the wide foot print on the rear tire actually does very well off road. I'm getting about 6-7K miles on the rear and around 10K on the front. The only negative thing to say is .... the front tire starts to cup about the same time the rear tire runs out so I end up replacing both tires at the same time. I would recommend this tire for any dual purpose bike.

Great quality. Great fit .... a little loose in the legs but Im 6'2 and the wife says I have chicken legs. Air flow is better than I expected with rides so far up to around 90* F. So far VERY waterproof. There are no belt loops so I bought a pair of suspenders and they seem to work fine holding the pants in place. A little pricy but if the pants hold up over time I will be very happy.

Two thumbs up for the Badlands Pro Jacket. The fit and quality of this Jacket is better than I expected. The airflow at 90* F is excellent and the more I wear it the better I like it. The final test for me will be how well it does in the rain.
I graded the comfort of the Jacket Good because its a little stiff but I expect it to loosen up with use.
I would recommend this product for anyone looking for a great adventure jacket.
