I got this because my A stars tech aero is big but won't hold my helmet. This one isn't quite as large and you can use it as a tank bag, however if you want a medium sized backpack that can hold you helmet without sacrificing space, this is nice. The helmet is held in a nice tight neoprene sleeve that is concealed cleverly. I tried my Arai Quantum and it fits fine with a Sena SMH-10 comm. and boom mic unit in place. here is how it works...There is a split down the center of the back, it opens via the snap and reveals a zipper that you open vertically, then there is another zipper that opens the pocket where the sleeve for the helmet is. Works great to carry a laptop, helmet gloves, keys, wallet all in one. When helmet is on your head, it's a very slim and stylish backpack. It also has a sleeve for wave G2 back protector. I'm a gear geek and have tried many brands...most of my stuff is all Dainese now.

Do these boots breath enough in the summer?

Not really...I wear them in Florida and only when it's chilly outside...so rarely....it's a very comfy boot, but it isn't really ventilated. For summer, I wear the Dainese Asphalt. Now that is a very "cool" shoe.

Comfort and protection

Would these be considered as the most comfortable/most protection when it comes to foot safety. I want a boot/shoe that has the most protection and comfort. I would be using them everyday walking around campus so I wouldn't want them to be uncomfortable. I was also looking at the Cortech Latigo Boots and considering them but wondering if they would be comfortable off the bike.
I personally own these and wear them in Florida. They are very comfortable and have protection equal to their comfort I'd that makes sense. It's not a track boot but offers good protection for riding on the street then being able to wear around. I also have the Dainese asphalt shoe and it is extremely comfortable, but has a little less protection. It's a give and take. You can walk around in the asphalts all day just like a high top shoe.

Dainese Asphalt Shoes The engine responds instantly to each twist of the accelerator, cross streets and intersections follow rapidly moving through the city streets is always a pleasure on a motorcycle. The Asphalt boot was developed for sports riders who cannot do without technical features just because the weather has gotten hotter. A PU counter, a nylon heel, and elasticated inserts for a better grip on the bike are only a few of the technical solutions in Asphalt boots inspired by professional racing boots. A double jersey mesh liner, a shifter guard, and reflecting inserts complete the technical features offered by this assertive shoe made in Lorica. Protection TPU heelcounter Nylon heel Ergonomics and Comfort High tenacity polyamide fabric upper Speed lacing system Temperature adjustment Double jersey airgap liner Other High grip TPU inserts TPU gear shifter guard Reflective inserts Non-slip sole

Item says to pre order ? Not available yet or not in stock and you have to order....

My experience with this question about Dainese gear is to go directly to Dainese.com and look it up on their catalogue. If its available from them, then Revzilla can get it for you and it takes a couple weeks for it to get here from Italy. Usually Pre order means that Dainese is either backordered or hasn't released the product into stock yet.

Will the SMH10 pair with a Yeasu FTM-10R?

The radio has Bluetooth capability for pairing with an external boom headset. It also has VOX capability. The radio is made for a motorcycle and comes with intercom, AM/FM, PA, Weather, and 2mtr-440 Ham capability.
No it will not pair with an FTM 10-R. I know from personal experience.
